Sex? Yes, I'm familiar with the theory
The problem is that any tricks involving it requires the opponent to know the Link match-up. I'm not worried about anybody learning the Link match-up for another two years.

This link takes us to a vid. you uploaded about the boomerang. Here's the real vid. Some tourney Links (they all lose tho since it seems to be all of their secondaries... =( ).
SW16 Smash 4 - FX DFW Dakpo (ZSS) vs Mook (Link, Pikachu) - Winners Semifinals

Mook's first match with Link was fairly close by the end. Can't say I saw any interesting new techniques/combos though.
Whoops, I must have copied the wrong youtube link. Thanks! This link takes us to a vid. you uploaded about the boomerang. Here's the real vid.

Shockwave 14 Smash 4 - TLOC Bwett (C Falcon) vs DA Mind (Link)

I really like the zoning in this game. Wish he'd plant more bombs though.
Yea, I messed up the first link, copy and repasted a different link somehow. Mind did place 9th though, which isn't bad.Now you posted the wrong link, this is the right one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEpcKoqv6MY
Made me sad too: for a second I thought there was a Link in the grand finals!
Not sure how much lag played a factor in these matches but elessar had some pretty impressive reads in both games.@CostLow @ Elessar

It's no secret that I'm not very good at this game. XD I still have a lot of bad habits like rolling too much, and being very predicable. Elessar has a tendency to read me like a book whenever we play. Not sure how much lag played a factor in these matches but elessar had some pretty impressive reads in both games.
Hm?! I don't think you were rolling too much in those games. The second one in particular. Looks like every roll(except where he caught you with that dash attack :/) where used to evade an attack/grab etc. It's no secret that I'm not very good at this game. XD I still have a lot of bad habits like rolling too much, and being very predicable. Elessar has a tendency to read me like a book whenever we play.
And the lag wasn't too bad considering that there's about 4500 miles between us.
As Zelkam said, there was barely any lag, as in we could actually play decently. And thanks for the comment. Not sure how much lag played a factor in these matches but elessar had some pretty impressive reads in both games.
I agree with that. I played horribly bad in the first match (sorry Zelkam) and it shows. I do like the DA though, but I strugle a bit to use it as effectively as I see it in my mind.Elessar used his dash attack 7 times in the first game, missing 5 times and hitting Zelkam's shield 2 times. That is way too much, especially for dash attacks that don't hit. Even chasing rolls with it is nearly impossible -- better use it only in very select situations, as a surprise tool.
I don't mind, it actually gives me a fighting chance lol. I'm just happy that you're willing to play against my scrubby self.I agree with that. Nah don't undersell yourself. And I'll play you anytime. We learn by losing, not winning.I don't mind, it actually gives me a fighting chance lol. I'm just happy that you're willing to play against my scrubby self.
I honestly think Izaw is better with Link than he is with Sheik. After a while, his Sheik approach looks so predictable, and J Miller capitalized on it.This is a fine match too: Electroswoosh (Link) vs OmGage (Shulk).
Do also watch Izaw's match vs J.Miller if you haven't already.
Am I allowed to evaluate these matches? Personally I agree with Zelkam that he was rolling a lot in that first match, especially starting midway through or so. Btw, Elessar, I love your use of Ftilt. I've never really been able to use it properly (I keep Smashing instead), but now that I have the A stick for soft bomb throwing, I might give it a try. Also, Elessar, you got quite a few grabs, why did you always throw him to the side? I feel like Link is far weaker when he's in the air above you, since UAir > DAir, UTilt & Usmash (if timed right) are great killing moves and you can use bombs as well. At least that's typically where I thrive against opponents more often than not.@CostLow @ Elessar

Of course you are and thanks. As to why I throw to the side I have two reasons. One is that I am better at Tech chasing and reading landings than juggling, so if I uthrow I might not land a follow up while to the side I basically reset the spacing and can thus either tech chase or go back to the neutral and keep racking more dmg than I would with one uair which won't kill them. Two is that Link's throws, while arguably bad, send the opponents off stage earlier than they kill vertically (if you grab an opponent at 155% they're dead, pound till would 170% and uthrow for a kill) and I'd much rather go into edge game and gimping than scoring a free uair which won't kill the opponent. When going to throw I always think of these things in this order of priority:Am I allowed to evaluate these matches? Oh nice, thanks Doomfire. If anyone wants to critique me, especially on the Samus/Rosalina player, that would be awesome. Think I went 0-3 against his Rosalina before kinda figuring him out and winning the next 2, then same with Samus (0-2 before getting the final win). They're not MUs I know particularly well and it shows. Dat Charge shot. Damages shields more and travels faster than I always seem to expect haha.I added tournament videos featuring Willyiscooler, Mofat and Huggles. Since we are getting more and more quality tournament videos I will be putting the early-game For Glory and Online recordings in a separate spoiler as they are no longer necessary.
Btw, I wouldn't double post FYI. You can edit your previous post to include the "Thanks for the support guys" and just put "accidental double post" in the second one.thanks for support guys
Unfortunately, you're not capable of deleting your own posts. Once Elessar or Fox Is Openly Deceptive notices it, they'll probably fix it for you, though.i know i wanted to delete this post but i dont know how
can you tell me that maybe how to delete it ?

don't you know that posting vids of you playing matches against good opponents makes you a scrub (somehow) if its on for glory?... just playing lol. You are really good, and I like your video editing skills too. You are the type of person that made me want to join the Link forums in the first place lol. Someone that actually has skills and isn't afraid of competition and full of excuses lol. With that being said... *downloads dtilt strategy*3nd video@ 2.35 BRUH PART 2 haha :D
thanks for watching and support
Hush now, quiet now, it's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now, quiet now, or end up in my shed.don't you know that posting vids of you playing matches against good opponents makes you a scrub (somehow) if its on for glory?...
I see that you're still blinded by your FG win ratio (hence your avatar having his eyes closed) so let me tell you what we'll do. You'll come over to the xat, chat with us, and play with us. We'll tell you just why your opponents aren't good, and why you're not as amazing as you still seem to believe you are.don't you know that posting vids of you playing matches against good opponents makes you a scrub (somehow) if its on for glory?
Nah I have no problem , and understand. I'm just sayin that a person is not automatically bad because they are on forglory. But accepting only vids that aren't online (for lag sake) I have no problem with. I was just sayin that I could tell he was good regardless of whether he was playing online or not.We have footage of ZeRo, you know, the Apex winner, playing For Glory with Link, but I am not adding that either and for a good reason. Wifi was very useful to test the waters when the game was first released, but now that the offline scene is in full bloom it is no longer necessary. Use it for practicing and testing all you like, but do not expect it to be a place for serious matches in a serious environment to be seriously studied.
