Yup, needle A LOT. And is bair a lot, needle even more, grab uair or grab fair depending on spacing, watch out of her nair. Also you can nair instead of fair at lower percents, I believe it does a little bit more damage. As pocky said don't bother jabbing, Samus can crouch cancel a falcon punch into a dsmash at 0 damage =)

Although if you get her into the 150% range then I believe jab fair combos. Well spaced forward tilts above 50% can lead into a tech chase if she crouch cancels I believe.

bait out moves. Bait bait bait. You should be counterattacking all the time. Needle grabs work well as do well spaced fairs. Also try to stay under her. Utilt combos work well at low percents if they are above you and are fairly safe. I know this applies to most characters, but samus is so floaty that you should just wait on the stage until she is close enough and attack. If she likes using bombs, bait one out and attack again.

lolz is this a joke thread?

anyways do your fairs really low and lcancel. Shield or sidestep the cc dsmash. wavedash grab, dthrow fair. bait out the nair and dash dance grab it. repeat until it stops working then mix up with other stuff i cant remember right now.

outspace her nair. use lots of needles and duck under missles.
don't hit her with anything not spaced when she's on the ground. CC downsmash hurts :(
that's about all there is to it.

good samuses can edgeguard like crazy, though. be sure to DI well and don't land on platforms on the way back - samus's downsmash doesn't send you as far horizontally as a sweetspotted bair.

don't listen to this shiek people...they don't know what they were talking about.....jk jk ^_-

I saw this in the recent posted...i thought "hmm what board is talking about samus?" i saw it was shiek and was a little shocked....

I hate playing shieks... shes fast... destroys missiles.. combos samus easy..... just an over all gay match up for samus....

but its ok if your having trouble... samus is apparently good against space animals and i have a tough time with them...-_-

Sheik absolutely ***** Samus in any way that is possible or conceivably tangible.
1 needle can go through a full chargeshot, jabs can outprioritize 90% of her moves, and once Samus gets into the air, it's a free 40% for sheik.
Just press buttons and **** stuff.

The only thing that Samus has against sheik is edgeguarding, and dthrow to chargeshot. (It's still impossible for Samus to get a grab though.)

Another minor detail, if she gets a grab off you with a charged shot be tricky with your tech. Depending on your percent, you might have to miss the tech and roll when the charge shot is about to hit you. I believe this doesnt apply to very low and high percents.

Of course this depends on the skill level of samus and whether she wavedashes into it or not.

ALSO, edgeguarding. When samus is off the stage you should edgeguard with needles etc etc and force her to use her grapple. If she grapples right on the ledge she sweetspots (unless your holding it w/ invulnerability) and if she grapples below she doesnt. You can do a rising nair on the edge, but good samus' tech it. I like to do rising fair, since it ends earlier, and even if she techs your animation ends so you can grab the edge again before she up-bs. Her only options are to die or land on the stage in front of you, where you can commence ****** (or scissoring, however it works with sheik)

M2K posted a while ago saying basically

Space Fair on Samus and then immediately shield. She cannot CC D-smash you if you did it properly so then you can just WD OoS if she did it anyways and then **** her with D-smash or grab or whatever.

Drephen approaches with shield and reacts to her defensive stuff. That also works and it is very gay. There's no real out to it for Samus, her grab is abysmally slow so she has to WD back or something to deal with it and then that doesn't give her any advantage. You basically cannot be punished for blocking against Samus all that much (provided your reflexes and timing aren't super duper terrible) so abuse it.

Beyond that just spacing aerials and needling properly will kill her. You don't even need to camp her but if you want to destroy her extra hard you can I guess.

i accidentally jabbed after a fair on a CC'ing samus. it interupts their dsmash and they're like "lolwut?"
same utililty as shield, i guess. except you usually have to retreat instead of being able to punish a dmash. still...thought i'd contribute :X

Just space.

She loses.

It doesn't really make a huge impact what you do so long as you space and play smart and don't tilt her when she's on the ground or jab her a lot or anything dumb.

I play against a good samus all the time.

The only way you lose is if you follow samus to the edge and are not careful. A solid edgeguard is about all samus has on sheik.
