Using wavebounces

Almost every guide ive seen has recommended using wavebounces b-reversed chargeshots. I learned how to do them, but I don't really know when to use them. Anyone have any tips?

It gives you the option to short hop turnaround and fire off a charge shot before you hit the ground. It's an option to retaliate when you're being chased.

Best way to make use of them, IMO, is for turning around and immediately cancelling it with jump > aerial. Retreating F-air/B-air hit unsuspecting opponents hard.

How did you learn to wavebounce? I feel like anyone can learn it easily, but I'm struggling to even make it work consistently in 0.(6)x speed.
