Using CUPASH with a japanese Brawl ISO

Does anyone know if it's possible to use CUPASH with the japanese version of Brawl?

I just can't get it to work (it says it can't find any compatible roster file), so I figured it could because I use files from the japanese ISO.

If it's supposed to work regardless of region, what do you think the problem could be then?

I'd be grateful to a relatively quick reply.

Try renaming common5_jp.pac to common5_en.pac and tell me how that works.

At worse if everything works on the PC side and it just freezes in the actual game. At best it should...maybe work.

Nah, the best idea is to get the common5_en.pac, then get an English ISO version, and then do the stuff normally in english. Add the ISO to the English copy and use Wiu 1.0 to patch it to Japanese.
