I don't know if it's known or not, or if it has been posted here because I'm too lazy to read the whole thing, but if you run toward a edge and release the stick before reaching the edge, the almost-falling animation will cancel the run, which means you can basically do stuff like Run => Dsmash almost instantly.

How is a fox with a lasergun realistic
I got the term "realistic stars" from one of the Event Matches in SSB Melee (All-Star Match 2: "Nintendo's realistic stars are out in force." In this match you fight the four mentioned characters from my post, along with Zelda. The secret characters Falco, Marth, Ganondorf, Roy, and Young Link also fit under the "realistic stars" category, as do Brawl newcomers Pit, Wolf, Ike, and Toon Link)

What do you mean?
I didn't even notice this until I just read this thread now, sorry A$.

Basically I mean that, if you do the moves that I mentioned towards and edge, right AFTER the move ends but BEFORE you start swaying, if you taunt, it becomes a taunt-cancel. Has to be timed well.

Also, yesterday I discovered that Ness can grab the edge from the turnaround of his dash, like Fox; not the pivot, but when you run a considerable distance and do the turnaround animation. Harder to time than Fox's though.

I tried the taunt cancel thing but couldn't get it to work. Video?

Gah.

Maybe I'll get off my lazy *** and do a video.

EDIT: Anybody know a good program to slow down your computer? Otherwise my computer is too terrible to record decent videos.

Just timing, placement does not matter as long as you are close enough to the edge that you end up swaying after you do the move.

I'll capture it with mupen eventually.
