Seriously, this move is amazing.

Its punishable on shield but it breaks shield, so if you mix it in with your pressure its not a big deal. Its long reaching, and it can charge so that elminates spot dodging.

I'm fairly sure shield breaker is the best way to advance marth's metagame.

P.S snake does not **** marth

We use it sparingly for a reason, it's a situational mix up thats great for spacing. If we use it so often to the point that it becomes predictable it's no longer a nice tool to throw out under certain situations.

P.P.S Snake does **** Marth :3

Shieldbreaker is the offensive equivalent to Marth's counter.

Only use it when you read your opponent like a book.

Wavebounced shieldbreaker is a mindgame of its own, as people tend to space more actively against Marth, and it hits from outside what is perceived to be Marth's range

DONT SPAM THIS MOVE. you will lose

As everyone thus far has said, Shieldbreaker is very good situationally. If someone is sitting in their shield for instance, start charging shieldbreaker and see how they respond. If they spotdodge, hit them directly afterwards.

Also, Snake:Marth is even.

Something I havent seen Marth user utilize........

Retreat fair. Double jump. Retreat fair, wavebounce shieldbreaker while still retreating.

Did they shield the second fair? If yes, they no longer have a shield. :)

well i do use the retreat fair but i don't follow it wit shield breaker, thats an interesting technique.
i like to use the shield breaker when im launched diagonally up to fly towards the opponent and hit them or break there shield if they put it up.

Mr. R knows what's up. I do this **** all the time, but DEHF didn't fall for it.

Seriously though, Shield Breaker is sex, and if you're only doing it to break shields, you're doing it horribly wrong. This stuff hits dodges, sets traps, and just covers a sexy amount of area. It's godlike.

Oh nicely done sir. GGs. But I disagree with the uptaunt. Dtaunt is sexier. Uptaunt is when you take a stock off. Dtaunt is before a kill. Just like the anime.
