I was looking through the whole list of updates since Smash Bros began on their site and noticed something! :)

Ice Climbers was Update #98. So we have Update #99 on Monday and the MAJOR #100 on Tuesday.

So, I was thinking, do you think...seeing as we haven't had a unannounced and not excepted Newcomer for a while that we may get one? Sonic? Megaman?

Or perhaps we will get a trailer or what we have so far or maybe a ALL NEW trailer.

What do you all think? :)

To be honest, nothing special. It would be so much like Sakurai to give us a boring update in an important date, and then give us another This World when we're not looking :laugh:.

'Sides, I'm not even sure he's counting them. Remember, we fans are obsessive-compulsive about this matters, but generally developers aren't so much ;)

Multiplayer modes.

Will Coin Battles and Bonus Battles still return? What new Multiplayer Modes will we get? Is Brawl really worth waiting for?

I doubt anything special, I remember when it was 100 days until december 3rd and the update was ok. So if sakurai did anything like we think he would do, that would be suprising.

I counted on the website and I THINK it was samus's final smash.

So the 100th may be another controversial update.

All he really did that was cool was the dk update, which people were looking forward to for a long time, and the 15 second movie.

I would say Sonic, but that'll be saved for the launch day or update #150

I'm gonna go for either Snake, or a third party character, but nothing too big. maybe ridley will be revealed. it'll be something monumental, atleast.

Nothing I would assume. But, if the 50th update was Samus' Final Smash think we can expect a Final Smash update Tuesday? We haven't gotten one since Yoshi's which was a little over two weeks ago.

Anyways, onto the discussion: probably a long-awaited character like an Animal Crossing character. Heck, it may be nothing special. Who knows?

(Hoping for a Mother character).

I would like update #100 to be either:

1.-more info on subspace emissary.
2.-a new char. hopefully megaman or bowser jr.
3.-a new stage. doesn't include the mario kart stage.

.................. what makes u think it will be something big or special?? every update is good anyways, even the how to play crap, those makes us appreciate the better ones more. if something good is updated it will have nothin to do with the 100 update thing

plus, the only major thing they could reveal is online play and headseeeet, but i think they will do that in a conference or somethin like that

and god, why do people still think sonic or megaman will be updated in the dojo??? if they are in they wont be shown until after the game releases!!!!

I doubt it will be anything all that big, since well...Sakurai doesn't seem to coordinate these things. On the release dates of certain games, you'd think he'd make a update involving them, but he hasn't really. The only thing he really seemed to have timed was his birthday and the SE. =/

I think it will be something good. He's going the other way this time, because we're all so used to getting the opposite of what we expect by now, he's going to think that we're going to think that he's going to think that we'll be expecting nothing good because of all the other surprises which will make him think that he'll catch everyone off guard AGAIN!

But seriously, it'll probably be something like 'since air dodging is in and wavedashing is out, the game hasn't changed much, since you can still go into a dash dance really quickly because you just stand still when you air dodge into the ground instead of being realistic and using your momentum to go across the ground, so now your control stick will break even quicker so we get more money!'

Or just a simple 'air dodging confirmed' or, the most likely of all...


This is the hundreth update, if you've been counting. I'm so excited! In celebration of the 100th update, I will give you the biggest update of all...

Yes, that's right, by air dodging into the ground (which they would have confirmed on Monday), you can slide! We call this... sliding!

Wow... he's going fast!

This technique, sliding, allows you to be mobile, and you can edgehog easier!! But be warned; if you mess up, the consequences could be dire!

Since there was nothing Snake related on Kojimas birthday, and since there was nothing metroid related on Corruption release day, it's safe to say that Sakurai's not going to notice that it's the 100th update.

But i'll say Ridley. It wont be, but I want it to be.
