Undiscovered Super Pill Glitch on Yoshi's Island?

I was playing around with my younger brother (he doesn't play competitively), and discovered this odd occurrence in a specific spot on Yoshi's Island (The Yoshi stage without Randall, for the uninformed). The pill seems to bounce significantly higher than it could normally in this one spot, bouncing approximately 1/3 of the way across the stage. I haven't tested it yet with any other character, but is this old news or have I discovered something new?
