Now I just wonder who you can play as, because generally these games have a large cast of options.

Protagonist, Ryuji, Ann, Haru, Yusuke, Makoto, Akechi. Wonder if you can use Futaba, that would be awesome.
They often have villains too... so there might be Kamoshida and the rest. Lol, I can't ever imagine using those guys. They are all intentionally written to be as unlikable as possible. Even Zelda and Fire Emblem villains are way more evil but I like them more.
There there's two or three original characters probably.
And then maybe the Royal newcomer student.

Compared to HW and FEW that's a bit lacking. Wonder if P3 and P4 will be DLC.

Apparently, making Persona 5 for two consoles was a pain for P Team, so I guess it's understandable why The Royal is P4 exclusive. And there isn't much point in porting the old game while a remake is coming.

Makes sense. I did always find the idea of regular P5 coming to Switch while the PS4 gets the far better weird, I just didn’t know what else P5S could be.

I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if P5S was used to gauge interest in the series on Switch for Atlus. But who knows, considering it seems like Sony has some sort of control over the series.

I would say, if you’re interested in P5 on Switch then consider purchasing P5S.

I wonder if PC or Switch ports of P5R could eventually be in the cards. They are surveying people asking if they want it, so they theoretically could do it if they wanted to. My guess is that P5R development started before the Switch started blowing up.

There are a few characters that will probably by OC for the game just like HW and FEW, which can serve as the villains. P4 Arena and P4AU created OCs to serve as the villains of the fighting game as well.

I would say, if you’re interested in P5 on Switch then consider purchasing P5S.

But at the same time, they really don't need Persona 5 Scramble when they can just look at how much traction the shadowdropping for Joker and the Persona 5 DLC pack for Smash Ultimate got. The fact that there's over 4 million views for the YouTube upload should show that the demand is already there.

It'd better be for them to just go the Capcom/Square Enix route and do it just because.

In the meanwhile, I've also been seeing Japanese people on my timeline confused about this whole thing, too, so man, Atlus. You really done did it.
