UCI Melee Monthly Tournaments? Who would go?

me and a handful of people are working right now on getting a venue that works for everyone cuz of right now, al lthe venues we've found so far are great but are only easily accessed by UCI students.. that means all the non UCI students need to park in a structure about 1.5 mile walk away that costs $7.00 and i want to make sure people don't need to do that

DCmoney rocks. :D Have u talked to the staff bout letting people have free parking for that day? that's what nezumi did at her chapman tournament. We'll pay some sort of fee to help u get that in motion if its needed.

i got a venue here (AV rec room) but like DCmoney said, parking is the issue. so far, the best free parking would be to park over by the starbucks/del taco and walk across the street, which isnt too bad, but definitely annoying. visitor parking on campus is $7 no matter what from what ive found, even if i reserve the spaces ahead of time and pay as the patron.

does anyone know a good way of dealing with parking? if not, and you guys are still down, which way would you prefer?

well the starbuck's parking lot isn't too far from AV. i think its worth saving the money and walking up there. plus i dont think we can have them park at the vdcn visitor lot cause they will have to call every hour to not get a parking ticket and thats just annoying.

is it possible we quickly form a club and they give allow us to have cheaper parking? all you need is basically uci melee players to form the club. i think the minimum is 4 and there is definitely more than 4 of us.
