You cannot enter the same action. Many specials go through different actions, which is why you can do the same special over and over.

Obvious picks for me in Turbo Mode that I love: Sonic, Mario, and Link. I love Link especially due to how creative you gotta be with Link to string together long combos. Killing off the top with UpB to Upair strings were too good.
