Trouble with Ice Climbers

I play against my friend's Ice Climbers a lot and I've run into a couple of trouble spots. One of them is trying to get past the Ice Blocks (neutral B) and the chain grab. I usually just try to seperate them and then kill Nana, but when that doesn't work I'm in big trouble. Any ideas on how to get past these problems?

Avoid the ice blocks the same way you'd avoid missiles, thunderjolts or aura spheres. Dodge or jump, don't bother jabbing them, there's two not one. Or just jump over them, set's you up for a fair/bair/nair.
For chaingrabs, try to keep the battle in the air so that they can't grab. If they're insistent on making it a ground battle and you cant do anything about it focus on your spacing. Keep that sword between you and them. When all else fails, split the two up. They cant changrab or work effectively if both of them are on opposite sides of the map.

One last note, if you do get chaingrabbed, don't give up! All they have to do is mess up once and you can escape.

nodrak do you even know what you're talking about? jab deflects both ice blocks. you can test it in training mode.

just jab/shield/f-air/jump over ice blocks... honestly they're one of the easiest projectiles to avoid. you can literally walk and jab whenever the ice blocks are coming. d-tilt works too but it's slightly harder to time... it's your best option when you're close and they're spamming though

chain grab just try to escape the whole time... against someone good you're going to get grabbed a few times in a match, but just play a zoning game and you should be fine (i think the problem before was they were forcing you to come to them with the ice blocks, but if you know how to deflect those than this matchup is way easier)

To avoid the chain grab, simply pretend you're trying REALLY hard to escape by mashing buttons and "accidentally" bump into your friend and knock his controller away. Or if that fails, you could attract their attention by taking your shirt off and throwing it in their face, if you arent wearing a shirt, point to a window and say "OMG LOOK AT THAT SQUIRREL ITS PEEING! LOLROFLLMAOBBQ" and if theres no window in the room, start singing a song at a very fast pace, very badly and very loud :p

Marth has an advantage vs. the IC's. All you need to do is get within mid-range of them and you'll have the upper hand. Marth out ranges and out prioritizes them in both the air and ground. SH into Fair stops a lot of their approaching methods since it'll go over ice blocks, and hits through blizzards and squall hammers. Edgeguarding the IC's aren't that hard especially if they're below the stage where you can just ledge hog forcing them to belay while sacrificing Nana. If they must recover horizontally then they'll use squall hammer which leaves them vulnerable afterward for punishment. Avoiding CG's is very simple since they have one of the shortest grab ranges in the game. Just use basic spacing and you'll avoid being grabbed the majority of the time, most of Marth's attacks are double or triple the IC's grab range. Seriously this match is not hard at all, just play smart and you'll win.

Aerials are good but its better to keep them in the air. IC's aerials are not so great...

Separating them is good but if they are good with just one it could be used against you. Gimping is probably your best option though.
