Trollish, but serious question.

So, I play Ike, but a fairly competent Ike, not one of those f-smashy Ikes. I do a lot of Nair -> jab -> grab and RAR'ed bair stuff, and I pretty much know what I'm doing. I'm not pro or anything, but I've beaten competitive ROBs at my locals and whatnot. Anyway, I have serious issues with metaknight. All his moves come out faster than my jab and he darts in and out of my range like nobody's business. So who should I secondary simply to counterpick Metaknight?

I was going to suggest taking this to the Ike forums.

But yeah, Snake is really the only person who is a candidate for being a true counter to MK. He only moves slightly faster than Ike too so you shouldn't have trouble adjusting to the timing.

Snake is actually a pretty big adjustment, given his projectile game and the fact that you shouldn't ever jump with Snake, whereas Ike hops around like a jumping bean. I'll start practicing.

Metaknight is the best counter but you dont really need a counter just learn the match up and play smarter than the MK and you should win . o yeah um its guna take a lot of practice to be able to keep up with a MK with Snake . snake is really easy to combo and keep in the air.

Jab more. It's pretty much the only thing that competes with MK's attacks. :U

His d-smash is faster than my jab. Trust me, when I play against MK, Nair, Jab, and Grab are literally all I use for like the first 120%. It doesn't work. His jab/d-smash/shuttle/tilts/etc... are just too fast.
