Tripping affected by damage %?

Or is it random? If so then that's dumb. This is probably the way it should work:

Damage %-------------Chance of Tripping
0-49-----------------------------0%
50-149--------------------------0.5%
150+----------------------------1%

And no air-tripping. That's more game-breaking than exploding capsules/crates are in Melee.

Witchking, no one is sure if that really is an air-trip. That entire topic is trying to figure out what it is, and so far no one is sure that it is an air-trip. And so far, such a thing has only really been seen with Sonic (there were a few other ones that looked similar).

As far as we know, air-tripping does not exist.

You say that no one knows for sure, then you state "Air tripping does not exist" as if it were a fact.

The thing is, Sonic entered a tumble, randomly, in the air. It doesn't matter if it has something to do with a glitched footstool jump or with tripping, but it is very similar to tripping, and so we can call it Air Tripping. He randomly "tripped" in the air. It exists. The cause isn't known, but it exists.
