Tri-State Melee Rankings?

The idea of a new rankings for the tri-state area (NY, NJ, PA) has been tossed around quite a bit. I think at this point it is a bit early to try and change the list, but I do think the list should be updated within a month or two.

Here is the last ranking:

Tri State division - Cactuar, JFox, and PC Chris

3. Cactuar
4. Eggm
5. Sensei
6. Hax
7. Tec0
8. Ryoko
9. Vanz
10. Swift
11. Jman
12. Velocity
13. Starz
14. Scar
15. Inui

I was wondering what the rest of the melee community thought of the idea. I also wanted to know who would be interested in being a panelist to represent their state.

A few people that I think would make good panelists:

HBK
Cactus
Scar
Eggm
JFox
Reno
Tec0
Pakman
Wesley

Things that would need to be discussed:

-Who is qualified to be ranked based on activity.
-Some ground rules that should be followed while for rankings.
-A place that we could discuss, that would deny access to non-panel members of smashboards.
-How big a list we should make.
-Which tourneys counted for rankings.

I'm all for this list to be re-done. The PA rankings being redone sort of pushed everyone to at least be more active on the boards, and I think whether people love or hate rankings and their respective placement it really gives people motivation.

And yeah I'd be a great panelist. Not JMan though 'cause he's only 11.

JFox, I think you could stick to the 3 tournament rule from the NJ rankings ruleset. Even though there are still a good amount of Melee tournies around consistently, they are more scattered than ever causing traveling that not too many people can do so the 3 tourney thing sounds good.

To put things into perspective...at the time that list was made, brawl had not come out. Spam was not active enough to make it. Hazz and reno were still kinda unknown talent, and HBK didn't have much in terms of stunning performance.
