Trainers?

Me and my brother were discussing the various characters we want to appear in brawl (He wants ness) and he brought up the idea of having multiple pokemon trainers. i.e misty brock ect. (From the anime) i was reluctant to say anything, as it could be quite a good character(s), but it might get repetative (like dr.mario(die))

I was wondering what the people at swf thought. please give feedback

Well, anime characters can't get in. So, if there's going to be different characters for the PT's alt costumes, it's going to be characters from the games like May, Wally, etc.

No, i was talking about different pokemon, because the current trainer has starters from 1st generation, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th starters in a trainer character.

But we cant have the same character skin in 4odd characters, that's why i said misty and brock.

I am thinking that one Pokemon Trainer is enough. It's one of those ideas like the Ice Climbers, we only need one of them.

A common misconception is that the pokemon trainer is Ash from the anime. The pokemon trainer or Red as some people like to call him is an original character from Pokemon Red and Blue. Ash is not Red.

I doubt that we will see any other PT's outside of an alt costume for Red.

We probably wont have other trainers, just Red. But we might get, like others said earlier, alt. costumes such as Green and Blue.

A Team Rocket member (Not necessarily Jessy and or James) can be a pokemon trainer type character.

They were the first two Gym Leaders in Red and Blue....

One idea for SSB4 that I had was to have the current Trainer's name be changed to Pokemon Champion, and he would use Charizard, Venusaur, and Squirtle as his Pokemon. Then the new Trainer would have the starter Pokemon from whatever the current generation of Pokemon is at the time, and the evolutions of his/her Pokemon would be similar to how the current Trainer's is.

It certainly would be interesting, there are plenty of characters to pick, and since there isn't just one character, it can be used to include multiple popular pokemon. Plus, a lot of trainers are quite recognizable on their own, owing to a history in the anime.

Overall a good idea.

They were in Pokemon Yellow though, only not called Jesse and James if my memory is correct. So they might be possible if they were only called Team Rocket instead of by their names.

No anime characters in Brawl...What they call them doesn't make them not Jesse and James
