Here's an idea that supports both the ToS and Event Matches. What if the announcer says "EVENT MATCH" before the match while playing ToS? This would support event matches being in ToS, like the leak said. I know, I'm grasping at straws.

Based on the fact that we already know little about much related to these leaks, I'm not leaning toward either side...I want the characters to be real (especially Inkling...and I'm sad about Wonder Red), but something about it seems off.

While we don't know for sure, a very reasonable guess is that since the 3DS can be used as a Wii U controller, they put the sound clips in so the 3DS can play them when selected.

Frankly, I think the Smash World leak is still total bull, regardless of whether or not Smash World was mentioned in the sound files. The way it's written, the fact that it was submitted directly to Smashboards in a leak speculation thread, and the ridiculous inconsistency of the leaker all scream "faaaaaake".

That said, there really hasn't been any evidence in the last two weeks to support Tower of Smash, which I still think is the far more believable of the two. So who knows.

I think that the whole "Master Order, vs Crazy Order" thing is just us choosing a difficulty mode in a new, (longer) classic mode type thing. Probably just an extension of the 3ds' classic mode. I hope not, but we can't get our hopes too high.

Also, because the Japanese translates to Master SIDE, we could perhaps be choosing sides in some type of battle between the two hands. Therefore, we would be members of an ORDER. Which sounds a lot cooler than side lol.

Also, one last comment on "Is that Brittany's silhouette on the PotD page?" That character clearly has her hairdo, and the face is much taller and flatter like hers and unlike any of the other Pikmin characters. The only thing wrong is the hair looks like it's going outside the helmet.

Edit: It just occurred to me that those might be silhouettes of trophies, not characters. Below and between the two game modes, to the right of that mess, I think I see Hitmontop. This would make sense, because Brittany is currently a trophy in 3DS.

However, that's Olimar's pose from the artwork. Britanny's trophy from the Wii U version has a different pose. Besides, there's no trophy of her in the 3DS version.

1. Master Order, Crazy Order, Event Mode, 8 Player Brawl, Smash World, and various alternate team colors are voice clips in the SSB3DS ROM. However, they are not directly related to the ToS leak - nothing in those voice clips matches anything in the leak. I see a lot of people on the news thread taking "Master (blur)" to be confirmation of ToS, but this is incorrect because there is currently no connection between the two (in fact, many of us were suspecting the announcer sound bytes may have deconfirmed it!)

Edit: Thanks @ T Tamagon , I forgot this. There is a link, if these happen to be Master/Crazy Order, but it's a somewhat convoluted one:
Confirmed Master Order > The same voice clips mention Smash World > Smash World was predicted by Mr. Prince > Mr. Prince started his leak with "In addition to ToS." Lots of links to this chain.

2. ToS: Ridley, Mewtwo, Dixie, Impa, Chorus Men.
Trailers: Ridley and Waddle Dee.
Mr. Prince: Same as ToS, plus Isaac, Wonder Red (which was later recanted), and then expect Splatoon Girl later along with release of her game.

You can clearly see a fainter version of Wario's silhouette flipped upside down underneath Olimar's, and it's overlapping with faint shadows of Olimar. It may be that Wario's full silhouette is flipped right side up and is overlapping Olimar's, we just can't see most of it because it's behind "Master **** ".I don't think there are unrevealed characters lurking in the background. Take off your tinfoil hats everybody.

No they're not, they just look that way because whatever's overlapping is covering up part of his arm. You can see with the fainter overlapping shadows below them that Wario's silhouette overlapping with Olimar's makes the same shape as the solid silhouette, reflecting what's above it.

See? It's not exact, because I was too lazy to rotate Wario, but it's pretty clear that's what it is.

To everybody else, I think we should take into account the theory that he just pulled the name "Smash World" out of his ass and it coincidentally lined up with something actually in the game. The mode itself sounds like something that could happen the way he describes it, but all of the DLC stuff after it reads like a fan wishlist trying way too hard to sound like a press release. Then he went back and contradicted himself multiple times. And he posted it to Smashboards instead of 4chan, so if this was a real leak, it's a thousand times easier for Nintendo to find his IP address, track him down and fire him. There have never been any real leaks posted directly to Smashboards. Smashboards is only ever the first stop for fake leakers who want attention, and we always give it to them. It's complete bs and the only reason it's getting any consideration is because he got lucky with a generic name.

1) No one. We don't know what Master Order/Crazy Order is so we can't say if it matches up to the leak or not.
2) There's two different leaks. Tower of Smash and Smash World. SW adds on to the ToS leak, so if ToS is false then so is SW. ToS says its Ridley, Mewtwo, Chorus Men, Dixie, and Impa. SW kept on changing his story but for now it's just Isaac, Inkling, and possibly Dr. Luigi.

He also said that Wolf, Lucas and Ice Climbers (or Roy) would be in.

Predicting a generic name like 'smash world' is a lot different than predicting a whole type, and several pokemon names.

Ahh, you're right. Just to the left of Master Hand's ring finger, you can see Wario's pointed ear. What I thought was Brittany's head is actually Wario's elbow and forearm. It matches the reflection below.

I've been following this thread since it began, and I've gotta say, it truly pains me to see the Smash World/ Wonder Red leak being defended or even slightly believed by some people.

I know it feels great to have another leak, with some kind of audio evidence, further proving Tower Of Smash's chances, but have some folk even taken into consideration... well... everything else about it? I mean, come on, READ that thing! It's full of contradictions, wet dream character ideas, and frankly it's probably some guy getting one word lucky and milking it for attention.

I want ToS to be true as much as the next guy (been waiting 8 years for Mewtwo ;-; ) but we need to keep on track with a leaks that have credibility, and, unlike the Wonder Red leak, some dignity as well.

I love how some of you guys thought that it might've been Brittany's shadow when Sakurai showed off her trophy with a caption that said "FYI: She isn't playable".

About the amiibo screenshot, the names on the P1/P2/P3 spots aren't there (despite being on the amiibo's spot) and Falco isn't unlocked. Pretty sure that its a mock-up.

What intrigues me the most about the Master/Crazy picture is the fact that Sakurai messed up on what spots they should be in, going by the left/right hand gimmick and where they spawn on FD. Unless there is more to it then meets the eye…

In addition to the Tower of Smash mode being available. The 3DS is also getting a new mode when the Wii U Version comes out.

This mode will be called “ Smash World “

This mode will be a mode where players can challenge players around the world in various formats of smash battles. The thing that differentiates this mode from others is that this mode can level your play skills and match you with players around your same skill. More features include daily challenges that must be met! If you play Smash World every day of the week, each day you will earn a prize and each day the prize will get better! Prizes include NEW Mii accessories, Coins, Smash Points, and for great performances, special powerups in future Smash World matches!


In addition to this mode, there will be another two characters available first on the Nintendo Wii U for a limited time! Those who do not get those characters in the time given, will be able to purchase those characters in the eShop.

Also the Wii U and 3DS will be given a new feature! A “Shop” mode where players can buy various items with the coins and money achieved.

When players are given Impa, Ridley, Chorus Men, Dixie Kong, and Mewtwo, two more characters still remain available!

I am unable to credit my sources. If I say who gave this to me, I can get myself in trouble and him most likely fired and pressed charges. Nintendo is not lenient at all with this matter.

And I was given another piece of information today at work.

More characters are being developed! There is no set release date for the second DLC, but the man who spoke to me says it may very well be end of 2015 for Wii U and mid 2015 for 3DS. Obviously the Wii U will need more time but it shall be worth it

But the characters they are fiddling with are Ice Climbers, Phazon Suit Samus, Machamp( FOR POKKEN), Roy, Krystal, King K. Rool, The Hero from Code name S.T.E.A.M., Dr. Luigi, Urban Champion from Urban Champion, and Mach Rider from ExciteBike

Working testable models of the characters include Phazon Suit Samus, Roy, Krystal, and Dr. Luigi. Mach Rider, Ice Climbers, Hero, and King K. Rool are unstable. Urban Champion is still a thought and so is Machamp.

They also said 10 more stages are coming and more modes if needed. The also said the 3DS will most likely stop getting stages and modes if the game gets too big, but the characters will ALWAYS be constant through both games.

And I asked the man this, "I thought Krystal and others had a trophy in the game already"

He answered by saying "Just because there is a trophy doesn't mean they won't be playable."

Also Mario Kart 8 will get ExciteTrucks for racing!

Second, The Wii U has more detail being, you know, HD AND ALL

And the development team is considering Ice Climbers being just Ice Climber as a seperate and having Nana be a alt costume. The final Smash and some moves would feature the duo preform together. The Wii U version would be the exact same.
And I never said I worked for the game.

So, you don't know what you are talking about. I have connections to them

And Cooking Mama was in fact considered but the vote to put her in was lost from 167/450 people.

SECOND DLC will be released March 2015
The characters are Lucas, Wolf, and hopefully Ice Climbers, if not Ice Climbers, then they will add Roy.

THIRD DLC will be when Splatoon! Releases! SAME DAY AND EVEYTHING!

The characters will be Isaac, SPLATOON GIRL AND BOY, and maybe Dr. Luigi or the Urban Champion.

The Splatoon Character(NAME UNKNOWN) is going to be one fighter. Similar to Robin, he and she will be able to have the same moves and everything. The only difference is that you can switch from different variations of the fighter. Also, the Squids will be enemies in Smash Run and we will get a stage of Splatoon!.
And that's ALL folks!

Things that are true if this leak is real:
-DLC characters are being prepared for two games that aren't even out yet, Splatoon and Codename S.T.E.A.M. The leaker cannot be bothered to identify these characters by their actual names, despite the fact that they're easily found online.

-The final roster of Sm4sh will have 65 characters, including the 5 Tower of Smash characters plus 11 additional DLC characters. 16 characters is an entire new game's worth of newcomers.

-Mach Rider (representing Excite Bike?), Galacta Knight, Snake, Roy, Machamp, and Wonder Red are all coming as DLC
No wait, he changed his mind.

-Phazon Suit Samus, a character that is literally just Samus in a different colored suit, is also being considered. Dr. Luigi is also a thing. Galacta Knight would presumably be a cloney clone clone as well, but nevermind (see above).

-Frogger and Cooking Mama, neither of whom are Nintendo characters, were both considered for Sm4sh. But not Captain Toad or Lip. **** them. It's worth noting that Frogger is owned by Konami now, but nobody bothered to ask them about bringing Snake back.

-The entire development team (apparently 450 people) actually votes on which characters get into the game. I had no idea Japanese game development was so democratic! Dark Pit was voted in nearly unanimously, receiving more votes than both King K. Rool and Ridley.

-The leaker's source is clearly on the Sm4sh development team given the ridiculous amount of detail he knows about the game's development. Nonetheless, he also knows about upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC. Because all Nintendo games have the same development team guys, especially ones that are developed mostly by Bandai-Namco employees.

-10 more stages are coming as DLC. But the leaker's source doesn't know anything about stages.

-They're willing to patch in entire new game modes "if necessary". Okay...

-According to the leaker himself, his source repeatedly lied to him. But the rest of his info is still totally legit guys.

tl;dr When these six posts are all viewed together, I hope you can see why I don't think this leak is even worth discussing.

The extra character part may happen no matter what the fate is

And I was given another piece of information today at work.

More characters are being developed! There is no set release date for the second DLC, but the man who spoke to me says it may very well be end of 2015 for Wii U and mid 2015 for 3DS. Obviously the Wii U will need more time but it shall be worth it

But the characters they are fiddling with are Ice Climbers, Phazon Suit Samus, Machamp( FOR POKKEN), Roy, Krystal, King K. Rool, The Hero from Code name S.T.E.A.M., Dr. Luigi, Urban Champion from Urban Champion, and Mach Rider from ExciteBike

Working testable models of the characters include Phazon Suit Samus, Roy, Krystal, and Dr. Luigi. Mach Rider, Ice Climbers, Hero, and King K. Rool are unstable. Urban Champion is still a thought and so is Machamp.

They also said 10 more stages are coming and more modes if needed. The also said the 3DS will most likely stop getting stages and modes if the game gets too big, but the characters will ALWAYS be constant through both games.

And I asked the man this, "I thought Krystal and others had a trophy in the game already"

He answered by saying "Just because there is a trophy doesn't mean they won't be playable."

Also Mario Kart 8 will get ExciteTrucks for racing!

Ok let me get this straight
First of all I said Mach Rider from ExciteBike so I don't understand your false correctivity.
Second, The Wii U has more detail being, you know, HD AND ALL

And the development team is considering Ice Climbers being just Ice Climber as a seperate and having Nana be a alt costume. The final Smash and some moves would feature the duo preform together. The Wii U version would be the exact same.
And I never said I worked for the game.

So, you don't know what you are talking about. I have connections to them

And Cooking Mama was in fact considered but the vote to put her in was lost from 167/450 people.

The characters that got in with the most votes were Shulk with 421/450, Dr. Mario with 407/450, Palutena with 443/450, Dark Pit with 399/450, and Duck Hunt Dog with 379/450

Tournament mode will be BACK but only for the WIi U version. 3DS can participate but cannot start/edit/make any tournaments. They can only play as additional players in the bracket for the WII U VERSION ONLY!!

Mach Rider, Solid Snake, Galacta Knight, Roy, and Machamp WERE ALL FAKES! THEY are INDEED NOT COMING! Bust out those Mii making skills people, you're going to need them for these guys..

Blaziken has been scrapped. He required too many moving abilities and it just wasn't working out.

Everyone knows this leak by now. Connect the 3DS to the WIi U and get additional stuff
Characters will be Mewtwo, Dixie Kong, Ridley, Choir Boys, and Impa.

SECOND DLC will be released March 2015
The characters are Lucas, Wolf, and hopefully Ice Climbers, if not Ice Climbers, then they will add Roy.

THIRD DLC will be when Splatoon! Releases! SAME DAY AND EVEYTHING!

The characters will be Isaac, SPLATOON GIRL AND BOY, and maybe Dr. Luigi or the Urban Champion.

The Splatoon Character(NAME UNKNOWN) is going to be one fighter. Similar to Robin, he and she will be able to have the same moves and everything. The only difference is that you can switch from different variations of the fighter. Also, the Squids will be enemies in Smash Run and we will get a stage of Splatoon!.
And that's ALL folks!

Things that are true if this leak is real:
-DLC characters are being prepared for two games that aren't even out yet, Splatoon and Codename S.T.E.A.M. The leaker cannot be bothered to identify these characters by their actual names, despite the fact that they're easily found online.

-The final roster of Sm4sh will have 65 characters, including the 5 Tower of Smash characters plus 11 additional DLC characters. 16 characters is an entire new game's worth of newcomers.

-Mach Rider (representing Excite Bike?), Galacta Knight, Snake, Roy, Machamp, and Wonder Red are all coming as DLC
No wait, he changed his mind.

-Phazon Suit Samus, a character that is literally just Samus in a different colored suit, is also being considered. Dr. Luigi is also a thing. Galacta Knight would presumably be a cloney clone clone as well, but nevermind (see above).

-Frogger and Cooking Mama, neither of whom are Nintendo characters, were both considered for Sm4sh. But not Captain Toad or Lip. **** them. It's worth noting that Frogger is owned by Konami now, but nobody bothered to ask them about bringing Snake back.

-The entire development team (apparently 450 people) actually votes on which characters get into the game. I had no idea Japanese game development was so democratic! Dark Pit was voted in nearly unanimously, receiving more votes than both King K. Rool and Ridley.

-The leaker's source is clearly on the Sm4sh development team given the ridiculous amount of detail he knows about the game's development. Nonetheless, he also knows about upcoming Mario Kart 8 DLC. Because all Nintendo games have the same development team guys, especially ones that are developed mostly by Bandai-Namco employees.

-10 more stages are coming as DLC. But the leaker's source doesn't know anything about stages.

-They're willing to patch in entire new game modes "if necessary". Okay...

-According to the leaker himself, his source repeatedly lied to him. But the rest of his info is still totally legit guys.

tl;dr When these six posts are all viewed together, I hope you can see why I don't think this leak is even worth discussing.

Yeah, This is clearly bull. Plus getting smash world right means nothing. It's the most generic name I've ever heard. Can we please move on from this now?

The thing i don't get is that Ness has Lucas's moves as customs but he is going to be back in the game. Does this mean Lucas will has Ness's moves as customs as well? Seems silly to me.

The B moves were the same, but pretty much all the A moves were unique, save for a few. Sakurai could easily give him new B moves, since other characters got new B moves (Zelda, Shiek, Charizard, ) It's possible. Wolf I am a bit worried about because I think Sakurai didn't want 3 kinda clonish characters, even though wolf was radically different from Fox and Falco.

Indeed. Lets say we have no more characters... they HAVE to add a row of 1 to make it fit... and that would look VERY out of place. We are getting more characters unless Sakurai really messes with out the CSS looks.

Idk...when I look at the Master Orders/Crazy Orders, I just don't see them as a big single player mode. They just look like money-making extras. Maybe a master hand based mini game? Idk. They don't look too important. I still think Tower of Smash is alive and kicking, and I think peolle are taking those audio files too seriously. Yellow team, anyone?
