Tourney Locator Tech Of The Week: Slip Edge

One Smash in partnership Tourney Locator have worked together to produce the series: Tech of the Week! This week marks the ninth video of the series and gives another excellent tip to step up the ledge game in Smash 4. Tech #83: Slip Edge!

Even though this is the ninth video of the series this tech is numbered 83. This is because all of the techs to be shared are a part of the One Smash Tech Tree. This makes each video feed of the others, showing how each tech works together to form a complete game. The other videos in the series include Fast Fall Break, Snap Back and Slow Run. You can also do a short dash to the ledge ( kinda dash dance to the very edge, you wont fall i promise) and you can Slip. But rolling seems better anyhow.

While I appreciate the tech tree on these guys' website, there are ways to make it more helpful. It would be cool if, when you click on an item in the tech tree, it opens a box with a description of the techs, as well as maybe gifs or links to videos demonstrating it. If they could find someone/a software to program this, that would be very beneficial to whoever visits the site.

If I had twitter, I would tweet this at them, but I don't... Hopefully someone sees this and passes it on.

nah, apparently there are nine VIDEOS but numerous techs. Although I do agree most of these should be combined into a single video. It makes more sense explaining in branching tree format as in : If player grabs ledge you can trump, if player tries to get back to the ledge use x tech,otherwise use x tech, and so on.

Here we go again, sigh. When will they realize there is no new techs only hand me downs by Smash-64, Melee, and Brawl.

Heck I bet there isn't even any real Smash-4 techs at all. And if so which I doubt immensely then they're patched. People need to realize that the game isn't different, it's not a new way to play Smash Bros, and has nothing new to offer towards mechanics.

New characters yes of course that is excepted, and of course everything else is nerf-ed including even damage ratios, shield stun, rolling, and even garbage looking Smash-4 projectiles.

Well, I wonder what next week's Tech will become or the same Tech from other games but differently named will become. Thanks.

My god, all that patience playing Smash metagame, you should at least learn to wait for more developments to be made (Or better yet find some yourself if you're gonna complain about the lack of new techs). Not to mention Sakurai keeps patching stuff in and out of the game, something that's never occurred in Smash before, so we need to be doubly sure he didn't take/add techs.

Next week's tech of the week : "Selecting a character" You have to use horizontal mechanisms combined with intricate DI mechanics, and by moving your cursor from left to right it enables you to choose different fighters.
