is it possible for their to be a rle so that everytime you die as pkmntrainer, you can change back to the pokemon you just were?

i only like playing as squirtle, could i change back into him everytime i die?
ive been thinkin about it for awhile, and it could be called stalling a match or unfairness.

someone could be doing really good then they would have to jus sit there and wait.

but it would be bad for the person using the trainer because he wouldnt have invincibility frames that he could use?

i need thoughts

It's not stalling if you're gaining a strategic/ability advantage by using a move, it's only stalling when you're clearly getting absolutely nowhere and it's clear that your intention is to run the clock. There is absolutely no problem with changing back to the Pokemon you want.

Also, how the heck could that be considered unfair?

Probably playing TF2.
Are you trying to say you want extra time to be able to change back to charizard say, if you just died?

No, that won't happen. You can either get good with all 3 pokemon and this wont be a problem, or you can change during a fight and take an extra hit or something >_>

If thats not what your getting at, I don't know what is.

That'd be a really lame rule. Nothing's stopping you from switching back to Squirtle when you die. You just have to take the damage for it. Pokemon Trainer is a 3 in 1, and nothing is going to change that. You either learn to use 2 or 3 Pokemon well and fight, or stick to your one Pokemon and accept the consequences. Maining Squirtle alone seems like a pretty bad idea to me, seeing as how he runs out of stamina the fastest and when he's fatigued it's nearly impossible to kill.

I could understand maining Charizard alone, but Squirtle?

i was just saying. itd be like lettin someone chang einto zelda during a match. i think pkmnt should be treated as 3 characters not one.
I'm so confused.....

People play sheik the entire match in major melee tournaments ALL THE TIME.

Go ahead and switch back into whichever one you are best with.

In a tournament setting, do whatever you can to win. Thinking that a certain is "cheap" or "shouldn't be done" is a bad way to think and will only keep you from achieving victory.

Honestly, you won't fair well if you only use one of the three Pokemon. I don't care if you're the greatest Squirtle player in the world, it becomes fatigued after only two minutes, and it becomes almost impossible to KO with it. If you're going to use Pokemon Trainer, use everything at his disposal. Otherwise it's pretty pointless to use him at all.

It's called invincibility time, you have enough time by default.
One of the dumbest things that makes PT suck is the fact that you cannot change Pokemon during your invincibility frames after a death, you have to wait until they are over to use your down-b...makes me so sad =(
