at MLG...Just wondering what all is banned from ice climbers..i assume the freeze glitch is..i was wondering whether the wobble (i think that is the term for the headbutt infinite?) is banned? i don't particularly have a problem with it either way...i mean marth has chaingrabs too..if you get grabbed you should be punished:\

oh and another question fi anyone knows..yoyo trap is banned or not? doesn't really matter as it isn't that effective..but i wonder about the pro tournie rules from time to time..especially since i heard fox's waveshine infinite is banned on link.

I mean what does that mean..taht you can't do more than 3 waveshines in a row on link? i mean how exactly is all that enforced...but i agree fox shouldn't get free kills on poor link...it's a hard matchup as it it

First off; to my knowledge, MLG is done with melee (which makes sense)

and second.

Most major tournaments dont ban wobbling, waveshine infinates, or the YYG.

They do ban the freeze glitch and soul stunner glitch, though.

As for specifically having a fox vs link rule, first time i ever heard of that.

Yeah I don't believe the waveshine infinite to be banned at all. I don't recall MLG ever having that, or Link specific rule either... Pretty sure that doesn't exist. That sounds retarted to have a character matchup rule...

And as Dogy said MLG doesn't do Melee anymore.

Wobbling is banned on some tournaments... just depends on the person running it I guess.

From what I saw when i went to Orlando, from what I saw on the episodes I watched, and from the vibe i got from MLG as a whole, melee gettin dropped was blaringly obvious.

They didnt have it on tv because the show was sponsered by microsoft (which is why they had like all sorts of xbox and 360 commercials during the shows)

As for the venue (In orlando, atleast)

Halo took up the pretty much the whole entire floor, and Melee had the back corner.

Now dont get me wrong, it's nothing to be bitter about. Considering MLG is being geared towards shooters, i really dont feel bad about what happened (although i really do miss MLG).

On the inverse, i've always dreamed about going to EVO for CvS2 or GG (and i suck terribly at both), but it's kool to actually have a shot with something im decent at.

Problem is, from what i've understood from the people who went to EVOsouth, it was "Poorly ran".

. . . . dunno what their defination of "poorly ran" is, but the single elimination really is gay. Especially if you go a loooooong way for Evo.

Single Elimination is hella lame... why would i travel crazy amounts of miles to get beaten in one match maybe cause of a poor decision uncool..

Link Vs. Fox rule doesn't exist that wouldn't make sense

The only things that are really banned are Soul Stunner and Freeze Glitch more so the Freeze Glitch because i can't see someone being able to pull off the Soul Stunner in a match.

I think they should ban Sheik, i agree with someones sig that just called her one huge glitch of disjointed hitboxes and needles.

I have played in tournaments where they ban wobbling but never a rule such as link vs fox and how they enforce no wobbling i have no idea

MLG is done with smash. Forever. The Link vs Fox rule is completely false. Nothing ever like that was ever conceived. The freeze glitch and soul stunner are the only named techniques that are banned. The infinite is only banned, as of now, on a tourny-by-tourny basis. It's up to the director. That is all. No need for further posts...
