1000+ roster. XD ^-^ and names u r hecka right voice chat ranking system and all thatExcluding things Sakurai's already confirmed or hinted at already (alt. costumes, speed in-between Melee and Brawl, no tripping, etc.)
1. Great online experience (complete with voice chat, ranking system, maybe some kind of Miiverse integration, and of course, no lagging)
2. 50+ roster
3. I would say "better stage editor", but that would be inevitable, so instead: in-game shop; maybe you could buy a few characters, trophies, stages, and/or even moves (if a certain theory on Sakurai's customization is to be believed)
Holy quadruple post, Batman! In any event, nothing has been confirmed regarding Ike's inclusion. Most competent posters realize that he is safe. So I wouldn't worry too much.i hope ike is confirmed but i heard ike will not be joining ssbb4 but marth will
We can always hope for new advanced techniques to mitigate the losses of others. So we do not necessarily have to ride on wavedashing, dashdancing, and l-canceling returning. However, it was your last notion that intrigued me (as the competitive community isn't entirely relevant to Nintendo in the first place). Honestly, I view Smash as a party-game. I do not even bother with competitive like I do for most other fighting games. I do hope that they make it a focus though, it might actually entice me.I'm sorry, but:
I am obsessed with gaming competitively because it's so exhilarating, and when I was enlightened with the magic of melee, I can't stand the idea of smash 4 without it.
- Wavedash
- lag-cancel
- dash-dance
But now that we know that this isn't happening:
- making event matches and making custom trigger events in stages, events, etc. I think this is done in a lot of computer games with custom stages and what not, and it would be pretty cool to play custom stages made by smashers. For example, I could try to make a mode or event where, if a player gets a kill, they get smaller and win after a certain number of shrinks. People that die get bigger as they die more. This could be done with simple coding that the game could allow.
- Better training. This doesn't just mean being able to use the C-stick. I also want to be able to give the computer step by step actions to make by inputting controls and pressing a button to make him do it. For example, he will ledge hog me after he smashes me off the stage or something. There are tons of ways to make training better, but that's an example.
- Nintendo's ****ing support for their ****ing community of ****ing competitive gamers that are dedicated to their own ****ing game. Holy ****, how stupid is the company?

Yeah, I feel you. Didn't they try to pull Melee from EVO or something to that degree? That was honestly when I knew that Nintendo didn't value the hardcore community. I can still appreciate the scene, I just don't participate.I guess it's plausible that new techniques would be discovered, like that slide across the floor from brawl, but the fact that they're removing techniques that used to exist... it's just aggravating to me, and you don't see many competitive games that do that. Again, I know it isn't meant to be competitive, but that doesn't mean it can't be. It's like something like pool or ping pong: there are people that play the game for fun at a friend's house or a cousin's birthday party, but there can still be people that dedicate hours to perfect their abilities in it because they have a passion for it.
"as the competitive community isn't entirely relevant to Nintendo in the first place" ... yeah, it might not be relevant, but the fact that the company disallows that passionate consumers of their own game from enjoying it to its fullest potential? Nintendo might as well... I don't know... limit the amount of hours that a console can be used in a day or something. "No, bad consumer, you can't have that much fun with our games, you can only have as much fun as we want you to have". Like, what is the ******* reasoning for nintendo to suppress the use of their content? I can respect that you "view Smash as a party-game", but not everybody has to, and if they want to take the game to the next level, nintendo should be supporting it because they could probably be making big money and big sales off of the competitive scene. Look at Riot, Blizzard, Valve, etc. What more proof do you need?
