Just this one? All AC threads should be. At most they could be ATs, but just that. There's no way they'd have any moves. Don't anyone dare compare CF, he had a 6 pack and relatable race car that had a cool title which could sum up moves quickly.

Yes, that's why I brag on this thread about all the violent and mature games I play. You're making a HUGE POINT by randomly attacking someone. I wouldn't like AC characters, because I hate the game and it's quite weird.

You have given me a much needed good laugh, that's one thing for sure.

I still want an AC fighter. I think people who are saying "they look ugly" are not giving good enough reasons. I don't even think they look ugly, aside from Mr. Resetti, I guess... but he's supposed to look funny!

Yes, horrible puns are hilarious. You mean a thing that can change into multiple objects and can change into them, a well known "creature" that's from an anime series(This counts for Jiggs and Pika). A plumber, that's a horrible way to see Mario. He's done so much from previous games. Who the hell is the swordsman you're talkign about? AC characters are Talking Animals that don't walk on all fours. The only guy on AC that should be cared for is Mr. Tough guy Mr. Resetti.

Also, how does Captain Falcon relate to those characters you listed? So far, your reasoning is based on how cool the character looks to you, and not on series popularity, although, that souldn't matter, because unknown characters have gotten in before, and characters that seem very "Out of Place" have gotten in before. You don't want AC characters in because you hate the game. There's your reason. Lots of Logic there. I mean, AC is becoming quite the franchise. Obviously someone likes it, because it sure seems to sell well. You do have the right to your opinion of course....

Quite true, If I ike the character, it's worthy. So far that is every Character in the series. But not on how cool the character looks. Series popularity wouldn't be so bad for determining deservingness for Brawl. AC is just the exception. The Ice Climbers was introduced because
I feel nintendo wanted to put a retro spin on the game, since everything is takng a retro spin, much like the Mustang. AC's movesets could be extremely hard to think of.
Right now:

Mr. Resetti
B-Headbutts you with his head
B UP- Resetti pops out of the ground
B DOWN-Resetti Goes underground and pops up under a character, it is Chargable.
B SIDE- Hits you with his shovel.
A-Holds a mirror up that counters damage dealt to Resetti
A UP-He scolds you for something and then you fall asleep while listening to him
A SIDE-He jumps on you and bites you
A DOWN-(Only usable on land) He trips characters around him

Final Smash:
Scolds everyone on the and throws shovels and appears red, giving him more strength, and puts everyone on stage asleep due to his consistent scolding which lasts 15 seconds.

Listen... in Melee we had two Fire Emblem characters, but no level for them. I believe the same effect can work in reverse. As in we can have an Animal Crossing Stage but no playable character.

Actually, there is a Fire Emblem stage but it's not accessible. You can see it in the listing via Action Replay. The music from this stage still carried over, though. It didn't make it due to time restraints.

I personally wish for the Animal Crossing playable character to be well, playable. It is actually very, very easy to make a moveset and I can post one if required.

As far as I'm concerned, there is going to be an Animal Crossing character. What would determine whether an item/stage from a series not represented with a character gets an icon or not? Fighter Joe as an assist has a Kirby icon, but Dr. Wright doesn't. It's as simple as that, and the presence of an Animal Crossing icon makes a character appearance a complete shoe-in.

Obviously this is not 100% confirmation. Nothing ever is; as far as we know Sakurai could change his mind and take out an Animal Crossing character before the game is released. Still, you naysayers are being overly skeptical - I haven't seen anyone crying about the F-Zero and Earthbound icons, and the way people are treating them as confirmation of the return of some favourite characters. It's exactly the same thing; the difference here is that people just aren't fond of the idea of an Animal Crossing character (I know I'm not, though some reading has convinced me that Mr. Resetti would at least be an entertaining appearance).

Still, it's not going to be Tom Nook, not with his cameo in Smashville. Bit of a shame really, could have been some humourous situations.

People who shun Animal Crossing characters for not being fighters are being a bit unfair. Mr. Game & Watch is actually a victim in his games. Everytime the player messes up in even a simple daily task, it all goes wrong and you get to see a grousome repetitive animation of the poor guy being tortured/burned/breaking his back. Many of the characters aren't real fighters, but their methods of doing things can defeat enemies in their world so this could work for anyone. Like jumping on a koopa or jumping into a brick/enemy above Popo while holding a hammer.

Which is why I support the Animal Crossing character, who I refer to as Crosser or Smasher.
They could easily incorperate the beloved tools from the Animal Forest series, as well as the characters awkward expressions and take on daily task. For a grab, he/she could use a fishing hook! For a forward B, he/she could swing an axe. If he/she misses, you get the same reaction from missing a tree in Animal Crossing. B-Up coulds have the character do a flip and try to land on a "bug" with his or her net, but in this case it wouldn't really be a bug. I could really go on and on how basic Animal Crossing tasks and how the villager goes about them, but I really don't have to.

Oh, and a cheesy but funny Final Smash would be to plant a tree with a shovel, make it grow instantly with a gold watering can, then have the villager shake it to anger a bunch of bees which attack everyone else but the villager. xD
(I know it doesn't work like that in the game and that trees don't need to be watered, but it's the best way of expressing this.)
