To Norcal (and anyone else in here): *SETUPS FOR GENESIS*

Genesis is finally closing in upon us, and with that said it's time to begin to get our event's setups in order. Short of a hurricane, a lack of adaquate setups will be the #1 factor determining the success of this tournament once it's up and running. So here I am on behalf of the Genesis staff to get this all ironed out.

This primarily goes out to NorCal, but this also concerns everyone in the PacWest region who will be attending Genesis.

Because we're aiming at a huge amount of setups for this event (around 60 TVs + Wiis / GC's), and because of the possible complications with setting everything up in the building ahead of time...

***WE ARE HOPING TO COLLECT TV / SYSTEM SETUPS FROM ANYONE AND EVERYONE IN THE NORCAL AREA A WEEK IN ADVANCE***

Frankly we just don't want to take any chances with this event. There are always cases of no-shows and innocent memory-lapses (oops i forgot my AV cables!) which can eliminate setups or render them completely useless. This is why we're hoping to gather setups from the NorCal area as early as possible, to establish our stock and get a rough estimate of how many more we need to run Genesis properly.

IF...
1.) You live in the norcal area, and plan on attending genesis (or just want to help us out immensely for the weekend)
AND...

2.) You have a Television (Standard / CRT / "tube"-TV's are most power-efficient) and/or a System (Wiis are most *Definitely* preferred, because they help us run both events properly and consume less power than a gamecube)
LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

Will be able to spare said equipment approximately one week (or earlier) prior to the date of the event
THEN...

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, let us know. =) All setup equipment will be properly labeled, down to the very last cord, and will be handled gently & with tender loving care.

****(To anyone coming from SoCal, Out-Of-State, or are from norcal but can't spare setup hardware until the event's date)****

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, confirm here in this thread that you'll be able to bring setup equipment, as well as when you would be travelling to norcal with the equipment.

Again, this is solely a crucial precaution that we are taking to insure that the event will definitely have enough systems & TV's to adaquately run the events. We deeply appreciate your generosity in this matter.

Step it up Norcal. This is going to need as much help from you guys as possible, because a lack of verified setups has every possibility of hindering our ability to finish Genesis.

i can definitely bring a tv

as for my wii, it is overheating lately

i usually do bring it to tournaments, but i think the fan is broken so it shuts off if it gets too hot (i have to unplug it for a minute or so for it to work again.) this is only a recent development and maybe i can get it fixed before the tourny

u can get a guaranteed tv from me though, if that helps lol

i don't want to give up my setups a week before since i'm housing people that probably want to smash

on the other hand, if i don't give it up a week before, i won't be able to fit my TVs in my car

quite a conundrum!

This is one of the biggest reasons we're hoping to inventory setups prior to the actual date of the event. We KNOW that for at least some people who have promised setup dedication, that if we don't collect them early they are going to have to decide whether to leave the TV at home or leave a smasher at home...and we know how that'll end up.

If we can get setups *In Advance* this will help to insure that the event's time schedule runs smoothly. Without setups, this event will crumble beneath the weight of 800 smashers.

Well should people have room in their cars or whatnot on Sunday, we can return any and all provided equipment once we start taking down setups towards the end of the tourney. If people don't have room to bring their equipment home with them, we will take the equipment home with us and return it as soon as possible (delivery routes through norcal, waiting until the next tourney to hand stuff out, etc). We'll work something out.
