So yeah, they're remaking TMNT4 for Xboxlive (and I think i read PSN, i could be wrong.)

It's gunna be pretty sick. I hope they make it 4 players again. I think the only other home port that has 4 players is one of the GC TMNT games. (I never did get those, but I wanted to because they had 4player TMNT3 and 4 if i remember right).

But yeah, this game. Oooh this looks so clean.

I never understood why teenage mutant ninja turtles were popular (Or Sonic for that matter).

Was there something in particular about the original series that made it worthwhile?

Dear god, this game looks horrible...

Why turn a brilliant game to that pseudo-3D. Seriously, it better be cheap.

♣ If they put this on XBL then they have to put this on Wii Ware then. It's only right since it was in SNES as well as Arcade. ♥

I only ever played one classic Turtles game, which was an Amiga one, and I never really liked it, and this looks similar, so I probably wouldn't like it.
Maybe because I'm a huge Streets of Rage fan and to a lesser extent Double Dragon 1 and 2 and Final Fight 1 fan

To me it seems like it's being made for fans of the original version, as a sort of treat to see their favourite childhood game in 3D, but I guess that makes it lose a lot of its charm.
And is it me or do the badguys seem to fly quite far when they get hit?

I agree, the arcade graphics was basically enough for me to replay this game, I guess Xbox want's to HD Remix all the old games it seems.

It might be, though since it's about to be on Xbox Live, I wouldn't count on it.

They're double jumping. I might be wrong, but wasn't double jumping in TiT (Turtles in Time, tee hee) impossible?

The graphics look kind of silly to me. 4 player could make it worth it, but I'd rather have my good ol 2D turtles beating up other 2D things without double jumps.

@Halloween, they're popular because the show was amazing (as a kid) and the games ARE amazing. I can't think of anybody who doesn't love Turtles in Time.

I want to see a Turtles in Time tournament. Yeah, I'm talking about the vs mode. No cheap bubble shields in that!

You're not wrong, all you could do back then was jump really high. Double jumps were nowhere to be found.

I have to agree, I'm not sure why but seeing TiT with -these- graphics... it just doesn't look good at all. If they have to HD it why not do what they did with Street Fighter 2 and HD the original sprites and backgrounds? No, it had to have 3D models...

The sprites were part of the charm of the original I feel. And it just flowed so much better compared to what that video shows.

As much as I love the game I have to agree. The graphics look sloppy and plain. Would've been better if they just ported the SNES version with online or something of the sort.

TMNT Turtles In Time Re-Shell video preview if anyone didn't see.

So far this game should be based off the arcade version and not the SNES version meaning no Technodrome stage unless you count the last boss, and no Super Shredder. Over all, this game looks like it's worth $15 plus online and offline co-op. =D

August 5th is when this game come's out if anyone didn't know.

During the prehistoric age, do you think they'll use Slash...

...or the stupid muck monster thing that was used in the arcade game...?

It's the Muck Monster. The game is a remake of the arcade version so the extras on the SNES version aren't in it.
The muck monster is only in 1 episode of the cartoon and wasn't even that important in it...

They should have at least replaced him

Nah, trust me. People would've complained even more if it was just a port, saying things like "lazy attempt" and such.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a BIG fan of 2D, and the past Turtles games, but if they were going to make it 3D, they could've improved it further so it didn't look too plain.

I just beat the original again and recalled what a masterpiece it was.

♣ They lower the price on Turtles in Time around five dollars less. Good idea since this game is the same as the arcade. ♥

Wow, is it me or did they made this game worst than the arcade? I mean gameplay wise, and music doesn't have the same charm, and there's not enough modes. ****, I thought this game would be epic, and the reviewers are complaining about the price. D:

They still do have to original music in this game right? Last timed I checked you were able to switch from the new sound track to the original one. I guess the reason why this game didn't get a high score was because of the replay value.

You seem to forget that Xbox can replace the sound track in their games right? Also not all the music is bad, just some of the stages and the boss battles, (well not the last boss battle, that one's epic to me). And it's not just the replay value being low, it's the gameplay as well. It's harder to attack and kill than the arcade version thanks to the 3D gameplay, and you bump into each other, but not that it matters much. I also wish that they add more levels to make this game last and worth more than $10. As for soundtrack, I mostly play the SNES soundtrack when I'm playing.
