Does anyone have tips on escaping Falco's 0%-death chaingrab to spike?

...please don't say "don't get grabbed" :ohwell:
Don't try jumping out until you're around 30%+. If you're character is harder to chain grab, this is probably when you'll escape it. Keep in mind they may cause you to lose your second jump if your jump does not take you away in time.

If it turns out you can't escape, airdodge the whole time and have the control stick away from him. When you near the edge, bet ready to spike cancel. It's not that 0-death as it seems to be.

I spike cancel here. Canceling a spike with your second jumping requires timing, but when using the Up+B, just hold Up on the control stick and mash B a little before he preforms the spike. You most likely be able to make oit back up.

Get the smash ball before he can grab you. :p

I've always either waited it out and meteor cancelled, waited for him to screw up, or avoid close range combat until he's on the defensive because of a high percentage.

I find it beneficial to spam jump and airdodge until you get to the edge, when you stop spamming jump, and DI away to get out of the spike's range. even it it hits, it won't kill you, you can either zap jump back, or jump back and away from the edge to set up a PKT2 recovery. Note that it you jump straight back, the falco can just spike you again, and that's really bad.

i dont really recommend spamming jump while hes chain grabbing you because if you suddenly get a jump off and he grabs you out of it. you are hopeless when the spike comes

You always jump out of chaingrabs because if you jump and airdodge, that's an escape. it counters pivot grab crossups, too.

There's a risk that they grab you out of the startup of the jump, but that's a really narrow window.

When you reach the end of the stage DI toward the stage and tech it. Might take Smash DI, I don't know but it works everytime for me.
