Tips for fighting an Olimar?

As far as I can tell, never try to camp an Olimar as Olimar's range and priority will usually win. Anyone have any tips against Olimar? Also, I wonder if you can forward tilt his pikmin that he throws at you?

I used a thundershock approach and DAir, following into a dodgeroll/smash/etc.

all i try to do is rack up damage and throw him out tha stage and edge guard him

Edge guarding is the best strategy to beat an Olimar in general

Maybe I should explain myself. I'm thinking more along the lines of "What is a good approach for Olimar?" or something like that. I know Olimar's recovery sucks but it does me no good if I can't hit him off.

i usually harass with farward aerial to rack up damage and Di away so he can't grab u. then for getting him out of the stag, i usually just grab him, hit A once or twice then throw off out of the edge. usually this will help u exchange more damage against olimar.

Olimar seems to be Pikachu's hardest match up, at least for me. What makes the match up harder is when the player is smart and starts collecting yellow pikmen. I hate going against Olimar so much! Is the Olimar player's name happen to be Nexgen or something like that? That guy is really good with Olimar.

well if u are up against a smart olimar, u should play a smart pikachu right? if he collect those pikmen and hit u with them, knock them off with holding A button. u can hit them off and spam thunderjolt. grab him and throw him off and edge guard, if u don't play smart, i think u deserve to get beat by a smart olimar.
