Jabs and shields are the devil in Smash 4. To the point where every character that doesn't have a rapidly attacking jab is much worse off.

Probably irrelevant, but I have to ask, which character's jab?
Although really, I have to say I hate throws/grabs. Like, I really hate throws in this game. I'm not sure if it's just me, but even though they added a wait time to stop chain grabs, I still hate throws in Smash 4 more than ever.
I also dislike how fast shields regenerate and how strong they are.

If in the next Smash, grabs are abolished or severely nerfed, shields break faster and regenerate quicker, I'd be very happy. Likely an unpopular opinion.

Probably irrelevant, but I have to ask, which character's jab?
Although really, I have to say I hate throws/grabs. Like, I really hate throws in this game. I'm not sure if it's just me, but even though they added a wait time to stop chain grabs, I still hate throws in Smash 4 more than ever.

As for throws, excluding (Thanks dumb rage) they don't really bother me that much. What has me miffed is that the properties on certain throws just make no sense to me. Like why does U-Throw not kill people but D-Throw does? And why does Cargo D-Throw not send people straight down? Stuff like that.

Playing grabby people are the bane of my existence.

Especially when its or NAGA FORBID a grabby

If Shields worked like Melee did and that's the only thing I want then this game would be incredible and perfect to play offensively but I blame the absent of platforms and how powerful attacks are for this reason.

It still works for offense but the shield game is ridiculous. I'll take as long as it isn't as BS as Brawl where its defense was way worst considering all the camping and timer spam because of Meta Knight and banana crazy Diddy

Lucas is good in Brawl?

Not really, he wasn't. had a grab release infinite on him (and Ness), which basically invalidated both of them (sadly, this is no more). Even without that, he's not considered very good - the last tier list has him at 30th of 38.

He was... OK? As Moydow pointed out, he had a grab release that plagued him and Ness. That is now removed for Ness, so I guess they will do the same to Lucas in 4.

It looks like we will be getting Lucas before E3... to be honest, I'm a bit scared about the announcements!

I'm fearing Lucas's Usmash.

Based on the trailer it looks like they practically doubled the horizontal hitbox/reach on it and it already hits like a runaway freight train.

EDIT: Just watched the trailer again and it takes up an entire floating platform on Battlefield.
