Robin's coat is really annoying to work with in trying to make this Yellow outfit. Trying to get a better and more finished product but here's my first attempt that I'm proud of.

If only her coat wasn't so bulky.

I like it, but...

Kinda makes her look fat. :halfsheep:

Yeah I thought that too, but again Robin's coat/clothes are rather big so I couldn't do much about it :ohwell:

Might just be better off trying to work with it more in Gimp or something.

oO Why do I keep losing out on discussion because smashboards won't tell me the thread had new posts? damn it:sadsheep:

Anyway, for who might it interest, here's Marth, Ike, Robin and Lucina gameplay in Codename STEAM. I even got a bit interested in the game itself ;p

:sadsheep: Sigh. Amiibos...

Reversing aerial Shield Breaker shenanigans are fun
Even though Lucina is one of the character's I play the most, I still occasionally shield when I see a shield breaker coming. I always realize that my shield will break too late.

I wish Robin did something Grima related in smash. They probably didn't want to make one of the endings canon.

I tried remapping my 3ds controls until I can get my shoulder button fixed. Unfortunately I think the controls are ingrained into my muscle memory.

Here's some official art of Aqua:

And if you didn't notice from the first trailer, Aqua wears tights on one leg, but not the other.

I see Ninian will still remain my favorite dancer design wise still :079:
Kinda starting to see what Kotor means about her looking suspicious though, that gaze.

Oooh...and the river blue hair, the name "Aqua", we've always seen her near a body of water, and there's water droplets randomly on her official art...really driving it home there Intelligent Systems...

Aqua is going to be a water dragon. That's my prediction.
And secretly evil.

For those of you who don't already know, I don't own a Wii U. Given my isolated lifestyle, I don't know anybody who does either. As such I have had yet to see the Wii U version of Smash in any form (other than pics and vids on the internet). Today, however, I went to Best Buy on a mission to fix my mom's laptop which I had spilled coffee on. There was a Smash demo. Now that I've seen it for real, I can say this with absolute certainty.
When the blast box exploded, Robin's cloak blew in the gust of wind it created. ;^;

I spent two more hours in Best Buy than was originally planned. I will never underestimate the power of eighth-gen consoles ever again.

Am I the only one who thinks that IF will be the origins of Grima and Naga?

Kamui being Grima and Aqua being Naga.

Hello new avatar.
...

Please bring this over Nintendo, or at least a limited edition New 3DS. I don't want to miss out like I did with the Awakening 3DS. :(

Now that I'm hearing that each version is just about the same length as Awakening, I'm feeling less critical about the whole decision to make it two games, but I really don't like the idea that only one side is getting all the unique map objectives.

If I knew I was going to get the game on launch, I'd probably be split on the fact that, what little we've seen of the characters, I prefer Hoshido (if only due to their designs), but then Nohr is getting the better treatment in variety and challenge. But, even without my dislike of the gamebeing split on two, I doubt I'd get the game on launch day as games are more expensive here and 3DS stuff rarely gets on the same release date as the states.

not likely, because Naga goes way further back than Grima - as in, several millennia further back.
the earliest point chronologically at which Naga is mentioned is about FE4, which is several thousand years before FE1/3. Awakening is several thousand years more after those, and Grima only appears in those intervening few thousand years.
Not to mention they already said that If will have no connections story-wise to any earlier games.

Finally an original story. It seems like it's been forever...

These are just cover plates, though, and can be imported separately late if you feel like having it to put onto your own 3DS, I think.
Nevertheless, they are still very nice, though I'd want it more if it was a limited N3DS for the game ;p

It's impressive how little the technology has changed over all those years.

You'd think with how well Awakening did over here, Nintendo would at least let us in on some of the new FE stuff :'c

Rip my dream of having a cool New FE If 3DS

To be fair though, it wouldn't be fire emblem if (see what I did there?) soldiers used tanks and bombs rather than lances and magic on the battlefield.

Although, if the fire emblem series could go slightly steampunk for a game or two I wouldn't mind, especially if it was kinda like Xenoblade Chronicles.

They've specifically said that If is in it's own world, separate from any other established Fire Emblem line/world.

Edit: Which @ Moydow Moydow said a few posts earlier.

Hello new avatar.
I think @ Kotor Kotor , you and I should maintain our Avatars until If is released here in the states.

Just to troll people.

Edit: I'm actually surprised @ Kotor Kotor is still using FemAvatar, and hasn't switched to Garon. Maybe he's waiting until closer to release date to do that...

It might even be interesting if the slow rise of technology and how it changes warfare was the premise of one of the fire emblems.

"Oh gods, our weapon triangle means nothing against these things called "guns." How do we tip the scales now?"

I've always found that the best way to integrate technology into a fantasy world is to have one technologically advanced faction, and another that's magically inclined, and make sure that the magic is powerful enough to be able to go toe-to-toe with the technology.

Otherwise, it's a curbstomp, and not very fair.

Clarke's Third Law said:
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

So basically (points at avatar) something like FF Type-0? Fine with me although I had something more like an underdog story in mind.
