I was going to say I wish there was public wifi here, but it'd probably work so bad it would be the same as not having it (that, and I no longer have a phone that can take advantage of such things).
After owning the game for a few months, I think I definitely consider Smash 3DS to have the worst set of stages in the series so far, I don't like any of the returning stages and the new ones are way too intrusive in most battles to be enjoyed. I thought I'd rarely ever use Omega versions before the game release, and here I am mostly playing in those as the normal offerings annoy me that much (and I'm usually all in for hazards and other oddities in design, as I find stage selecting in any other fighting game to be completely worthless given it's just a background change).

I think I'd only like to see Reset Bomb Forest myself, I'd say Arena Ferox and Prism Towers are among the better stages on 3DS, but I find them pretty boring in concept none the less (not a fan of the whole flying platform over different locations thing, and I always hated the idea of Arena Ferox, most boring possible choice for an Awakening stage, IMO).

I actually find Prism Tower to be the best of the changing layout stages because of its simplicity and because legendries appear in the background and because the transformation almost never kill you

I don't consider the 3DS' stage lineup horrible, but when directly compared to the U version, it's pretty bad.

Reset Bomb Forest, Prism Tower, Arena Ferox and Rainbow Road are all pretty fun imo.

But that doesn't compare to the fun madness of the three boss hazard stages and other stages like Orbital Gate, Wrecking Crew and Norfair, with their crazy mechanics.

I for one am appalled that someone thought bringing 75m back was a good idea.

Edit: Actualy, why did they go with bringing back a large portion of the Brawl stages? Almost every franchise had a stage from Brawl return.

I'm not sure which version I prefer stage-wise.

I feel like the Wii U one has more stages I love (Unova Pokémon League, Luigi's Mansion, the superior Gaur Plain, and the Pilot Wings stage just to name a few), but also more that I don't like (Pokémon Stadium 2, 25M, Pyrosphere, Brawl Mario Circuit, and so forth). 3DS also actually got a new Mother stage and two new Pokémon stages instead of one plus my least favorite Pokémon stage in the franchise. And there's also that cool F-Zero stage and Yoshi's Story.

Both have Dr. Wily's Castle, though, which I might hate more than 25M solely due to Yellow Devil (Mario Bros. is still the worst stage ever made, though).

Magicant not being on the Wii U was a huge mistake IMO.

It doesn't make sense. Mother 1 and EarthBound were both CONSOLE games. Mother 1+2 was merely a port. Wouldn't it make more sense for the new Mother stage to go there? If anything, we should have gotten Magicant on the Wii U version and Saturn Valley for the 3DS since it's a Mother 3 location, the game that actually WAS portable to begin with (plus if Lucas wasn't DLC they could justify it being in through Ness since it's in EB too).

oh yeah more music, I definitely miss that coming from Brawl (even if overall, I was pretty disappointed with the soundtrack this time around). I wish I could like magicant, as I do like its design and overall look, but the flying men are the absolute worst, even when they are playing on my favor, I despise them. I usually play Omega Magicant. All the shout outs minus a couple of things like the tomato with none of the Flying Men annoyances.

The limited soundtrack for the 3DS is a pain. I'd love to listen to music while I'm working via headphones, but there's not nearly as much as the Wii U one.

And it was a little annoying how so many songs were just directly from Brawl or ripped from their own games. I ADORE Xenoblade's soundtrack in its pure form, but it's a shame that only one of the tracks is a remix.

And I don't care if it doesn't fit the fighting since we have Pokémon Center and Mother 3 Love Theme and freaking Environmental Noises- I demand this song on Gaur Plain.

Heck, make it a stage! Gaur Plain is nice and all and probably more iconic, but seriously, it'd be like Fountain of Dreams 2.0: Now Even Prettier. Assuming it wouldn't be too gimmicky, it would top my favorite stage Fountain of Dreams.

This. Mario bros will have the honor of being the worst stage ever after 75m in my book. I don't think they could make a worse stage if they tried with what they did with Mario Bros.

I'm not sure which version I like more of stage choices. On one hand, the 3DS has nice places like the Pokemon stages, F-Zero, an actual Fire Emblem location and not something generic, a Kid Icarus stage that wasn't terrible, and a nice looking Rainbow Road. I did like Tomodachi life just to see all the different Mii's and the Nintendogs stage with watching the cute dog.

For Wii U, the only issue I have is the amount of returning Brawl stages that I mentioned earlier. That and so many stages have so much jank on them with the surrondings like the new Mario Circuit, Pilotwings, Wuhu's tolerable but still eh. It's a shame we got such really pretty/cool stages like Kalos League, Boxing Ring, and Mario Galaxy but they're pretty bad to play on competitively.

I probably despise Hanenbow the most still, although Mario Bros is absolutely stupid, you pretty much need to use the turtles/crabs if you ever want to KO anyone, even Super Sonic is worthless in that stage

The 3DS version's stages are kind of eh, I agree. Most are a little too intrusive.

I think what bugs me about stages this time around is that some would be perfectly fine if it weren't for one element. The Flying Men are an example- it's a neat nod, but it turns the stage into a battle to get to the Flying Men first, and otherwise it'd be a really playable stage. The Yellow Devil with Dr. Wily's Castle is another example of this. At least stages like 25M or the Legend of Zelda train stage are SUPPOSED to be chaotic and wild.

I liked it, but that could be my Mother 3 bias showing.

I still found it more playable than Palutena's Temple, though. Palutena's Temple does have a nice-looking Omega version, though.

I usually like every stage in Smash Bros., no matter how insane or broken they are.
I like Poke Floats. I like Brinstar Depths. I love Bridge of Eldin and Big Blue. I even like Hanenbow.
But then's there's just some stages that, for whatever reason, I cannot stand them. They're the worst. The biggest offenders are the stages that would be normal but have some crazy hazard or gimmick that ruins it.
The worst offenders are Frigate Orpheon, Wily Castle, Kalos Pokemon League, Orbital Gate Assault, Mushroom Kingdom U, and Yoshis' Woolly World. I don't hate Pyrosphere as much due to its music and my sympathy for Ridley.

Oh yeah, and 75m. **** you 75m.

I think 75m is by FAR my least favorite stage.
Hanenbow was pretty bad, too, but I can at least appreciate it for representing an oddball game.

Mario Bros. had a lot of hectic chaos that made it actually pretty fun.

The 3DS version has a couple of pretty cool stages that I wished where in the Wii U version. F-Zero, Gerudo Valley, Rainbow Road and to a lesser extend Arena Ferox, Dream Land, Magicant and 3D Land where all pretty fun in my opinion.

^ This is actually the second attempt at a very simple Robin shoop. The first time I accidentally integrated Robin so seamlessly that it ended up looking creepy and I actually had to go back and make an intentionally bad looking one to not be weirded out. Well there's this one guy attempting to finish porting the Gaur Plains stage to Brawl.

Then just download or make a brstm of Unfinshed Battle and you got your wish. (If you're into Brawl modding that is)
Only thing missing would be Shulk, though.
