Depends. If you don't plan to use her late game, switch her to Pegasus, promote to Dark Flier, and learn Galeforce for reasons.

If you like her, a good choice is to first promote her to Valkyrie to learn Dual Support+, then reclass her to Mage, and finally promote her to Sage for a crit-magic nuker.

Edit - Well, if you REALLY plan to use her in the long-long term, going Dark Flier is good for either route because Galeforce is the best skill in the game. You can skip Valkyrie and Dual Support+ if it's too much of a hassle.

Either way, you just promote the units that can reclass to Dark flier to said class because it gives Galeforce, a skill that lets units act twice per turn.
After you get the skill just reclass them to something else. Sage is a good idea because units can use both staves (healing) and tomes (attacking) in that class.

If a character can be Dark Flier, they should become a Dark Flier.

Also, nothing wrong with reclassing someone to healer, or using Anna or Libra as healer if you need one. Healers don't really take EXP from anybody else but other healers, so you can field them only as long as you need them with virtually no consequence, unless you REALLY need every deployment slot a chapter allows.

It's just that use Sages more in Awakening in particular, maybe because you already has Lissa when they give Maribelle.

Sometimes, like if I'm trying to move a weaker unit closer so they can get the kill, I'll box archers into one grid space without attacking them. I don't know what the AI thinks is happening when I do that.

Not to mention that I specifically listed a particular fondness of Ike, Sothe, and Mia...

Ah, who am I kidding! Ike and Mia both have their fair share of fans. Would not mind having those two by my side.

The thing with Chrom is you are basically forced to use him all game. Promoting him to Great Lord is just fine, since the class skills are strong and handy to have as early as possible. You can change him to Cavalier/Paladin/Great Knight before or after depending on how you feel. Others may even go the Bow Knight route, since you can still access the Falchion. There's really less in the way of clear-cut superior options, especially on easier difficulties.

Personally I think Aegis, learned as a Paladin, is a great option for Chrom to help deal with the high magic damage he is prone to suffering.

I'd wager Ike uses Old Spice.
