I'm becoming trash after recently having started playing Xenoblade Chronicles, which is amazing. Shulk is just so adorable.

As for Marth, I've been Marth trash since 2007/8 and I don't think this will ever go away.

While I'm not into the r63 stuff myself, if they make a normally male character into a hot female character and the image itself won't creep me out beyond all comprehension and end up in my nightmares, you won't hear a complaint from me.

Also: I see you're a Toon Link main, I'd highly suggest watching these from last weekend. Anaky is probably the best Toon link in the world right now~

Thanks. While I'm not mad skillful per se, I have enough skill to keep you on your toes (there are users here that can vouch for that) so prepare for that. And I am a Tink main but I haven't used him in awhile. Thanks for the videos. I'll watch them later.

GGs, man. I think your Shulk is well developed. The only tips I can offer for the most part are tips regarding your general playstyle and apply to all the characters you played.

While it's clear that you know your stuff, I think your playstyle is too aggressive; you usually go for the predictable strategy, and your approach isn't varied enough. Most characters can benefit from a more mind-gamey playstyle, and I think your Shulk and Falcon have the basics down, but you'll have to push it to it's limits if you want to avoid punishment while still wracking up damage.

I think your Alph was better as far as mind-tricks and manipulation go. That, and the fact that I severely underestimated your Alph at first, was what led to me nearly getting three stocked before picking up my game and quickly taking two stocks off before finally being defeated. My approach against you lacked real effort, as I imagined my larger disjointed hitbox would make it effortless. You clearly proved me wrong in that. I think we can both learn from that match. For me, I need to stop assuming the MU is always in my favor. You, on the other hand, did well with taking advantage of my cockiness. You knew how to react to all of my attempted approaches, which is a good sign. Keep improving your punishment skills, and you'll be a respectable opponent as there ever was.

Also, I think you should practice playing more defensively/adapting to the matchup or situation. Your spacing with Robin mostly relied on Thunder and Elthunder, and you didn't really go for mind-games with him/her at all, at least as far as I can tell. Since Meta Knight has a million options for getting around that, I managed to punish hard. If you try using fewer punishable moves against faster and more nimble opponents and/or opponents with projectile-proof approach and go for faster punishing moves such as grab techs and the Levin Sword, then you should be subject to less punishment. If you can keep playing defensively and chipping, then Robin will be KO'd significantly less frequently.

A more specific tip for your Robin: when you do have the chance to charge your tomes, try going for Arcthunder. It may not be as good a spacing move as Elthunder, but it's far more versatile for techs. You could break shields with it (if you're fast/close enough) or grab a kill with by the LS Bair or Uair.


That's all the tips I have for now. I look forward to witnessing your improvement.
