I dunno. Laurent is so much better than his mom, stat and personality wise.

All of the children characters are better stat wise, but it doesn't mean that they're great character wise.

Same with Genealogy.

I honestly can't bring myself to care for any of the children than aren't Nah and F!Morgan, they just feel so one note to me. I'll place Severa at the bottom any day, I just can't stand Tsunderes to such an extreme.

I see people posting images so i thought I would post some of my own. These are sketches I've done throughout the years. The first is Ike, since I mained him in Brawl (didn't play competitively at the time) The second is Chrom since I loved Fire Emblem awakening so much. And the third was from my excitement of Robin announced for smash.

Not like the majority of FE characters are hella deep, and obviously not everyone is gonna find a character relateable, but yeah Laurent is kinda just a copy-paste of his mom and they're a kind of character type that more people aren't exactly gonna like than not

I have thought about it and I even somewhat colored my most recent drawing but I'm not really that good at coloring so I tend to just shade. My most recent drawing I also had no idea how to color skin so it looks weird with color all around yet the skin is all white.

Laurent is probably my least favorite child as well for reasons explained.
Personality wise, he is just a carbon copy of his mother, who I find to be bland, unrelatable, and unlikable.

I don't mind Noire but I kinda fit it weird and hilarious that her chest is bigger than her mother's and is more pycho than her

Are we talking Awakening/Fates kids? I think a good majority of them in each game are annoying. The only tolerable child units were Owain, Inigo, Shinonome, Lutz the boy blunder, and Gray (Gaius bias).

I only liked Gerome for his stats and design but his personality was flatter than Lucina's bust.

I'm one of the few who actually likes Laurent I see (I regret nothing). In fact, one my favorite supports is male MUxLaurent C-support, simply because he actually tells us the contents of the magic tomes in the game. And I feel his scholastic nature frankly suits him much better than Miriel.
This is coming from someone who practically abuses Noire in his playthroughs though lol

I dunno. Miriel is more of a "science for science's sake" type. Laurent more or less does what he does to help people (and has the best collection of magic tomes in FE existence).

Thanks! I might consider re-drawing some of my stuff and adding color to it to see how it turns out but college has been keeping me busy. Speaking of which, I need to go back to my homework now.

Ironically in my first awakening run, Severa was my best overall unit, Galeforce and pass were a godsend but I couldn't bring myself to use her a lot due to her character.

Eh, I was never a fan of Miriel, but I liked Laurent because, unlike his mother, he actually showed signs of humanity. Basically a Miriel that's actually likable.

I like your art Zeiah, especially the group one. I've been wanting to get back into drawing myself, but I have less and less time to do it. The last time I really put any time into a drawing was two months ago on a meta knight that I'm not really all that satisfied with.

I'm going to admit right now that I actually have never recruited Laurent. I just never used Miriel.

Dont worry I got mines pretty late as well so I know how that feels. Also my car was trash and was in storage for a good bit as well and had trouble with the driving exam part cause my instructor hated young people and her job. Now Morgan is the automatic #1 best child due to her being the Miracle of the Universe

Nahhhh about the Owain thing but I really like the M:Robin/ Lissa pairing.

That's my beef with him as well bland character 1 and 2.

On Severa though I actually like her but I'm very hit and miss on tsundere characters.

Lol wow. I went to go do something for a second and when I come back my niece was trying to get on the computer. I told her I wasn't done being on the computer and my sister retorted, "Well, you are now," in a rude, disgusting way. I made my niece cry because I wasn't done so my sister acted like a 10 year old and told my mother what happened, of course she had to twist the story. She said that I kicked her off the computer and they both insisted that I was done even though I wasn't.
Seriously I just wish my laptop wasn't broken. Then this crap wouldn't happen. I'm sick of being made a terrible person and I'm sick of everyone siding with my niece just because she's young. They always go out of their way to spoil her and whenever she doesn't get her way they get mad at me and call me a bad person. Soooooo stupid.

She gets all the attention and it's annoying. I guess I'm a bit jealous in a way because I kinda used to get the attention before she was born. My sister was bad at school but I was good at school so my parents always said how better I was than her. Now it's the other way around.
Sometimes I wish my sister and her daughter will move out. She's almost 28 and she needs her own life.

It sucks being the youngest sibling because my parents are always on my older sister's side. And they treat my niece/my sister's daughter as the Queen of England.
Sometimes I wish my sister and her daughter will move out. She's almost 28 and she needs her own life.

I respectfully disagree.

Sure, both are cold perfectionist engines of logic, but Laurent actually cares for the well being of others, even if his way of touching on their problems can be flawed at times. And he isn't as much of a berating person as Miriel is.

I can understand why some such as you wouldn't like him but that's my take on it. Quite similar to his mother, yes, but he's far from a carbon copy in my honest opinion.

Alrighty sounds good to me. And my skype is missfally. Include the period as that's part of the name. It's not really my skype, it used to be my friend's skype but I took it and I just use it for mobile purposes.
