I thought I'd upload a video of me getting a nine 3 times in a row using my timing strategy so you guys could see what I meant with my previous post. I put the whole video up so you guys wouldn't think I was cheating.

Timing the Nine

Okay, I've figured out that the 9 is linked to the timer. Obviously already known rules apply; If you get the nine you have to use 2 other hammers to be able to get another one.

It's actually quite hilarious how simple it is.

Whenever the seconds(1-59) on the timer reach these times you nine:

45 seconds

27 seconds

9 seconds

(Example- timer says 6:27,4:45, 7:09)

lol if you add them up they equal 9 (4+5 = 9,2 + 7 = 9)

the timing is tricky so I'll just let you guys mess around with it till you figure it out.

You can get a nine at other times too obviously, but I just haven't figured them out yet.

Don't say anything until you try it.

Have a blast

OK guys from a comp science point of view.. im going to test timer XX:AB
(A+B)%9 equals your throw.. if you got the throw before it it goes to the number below it..
this explains why the 9 is more likely on the first throw. because if the time is XX:56 then (5+6)%9 = 2, you cant get 2 on first throw, so its a one, and you cant get a one on the first throw so you get a 0 which is a 9

so if this is true.. if you throw a one.. many other times will be available for a 9, like :01 or :19.. man i wanna test this out when i get home

I'm still slightly confused by this; do you have to START Judgment when the seconds add up to nine, HIT with Judgment when the seconds add up to nine, or does the move have to be started and hit with WHILE the seconds add up to nine?

Also, how did you get the third Judgment off when it said :47? According to your rule, they should equal 9, not 11.

Once you get a nine you have to hammer twice to reset it. You can also die to reset it. If you don't reset the hammer than you can't get a nine

Yeah, that confused me as well. I'm having serious doubts about this method.
The last nine was at the wrong timing., BUT it does give us a look at other times you can use this trick. I have to look into it more, but I think there might be a way to nine every couple of seconds. This is complete speculation as of right now.

Hopefully within a week I can post a video of me doing 4 or 5 nines in a row

So the third was pure luck... So this "trick" got you two in a row, not three. I'm not trying to offend you or anything, I'm just very skeptical about new techniques and methods.

yeah ive ben trying it out for about 2 hours now.. if you're trying 1/7 on any certain time and you get two in a row.. it seems like youve found it
but until i do some more research, this is deconfirmed for me..
btw im recording my research, and ill post it later

a pattern that i am seeing is, the first throw that you have determines the offset of how many seconds it should be off from a multiple of 9, and after you throw a nine the same thing, the next number is the offset.. you dont know how many times i got a 7 or 9 for the first throw.. when it was a 7 i had to hit the hammer at XX:43 for a 9 or XX:52 the 6 offset seemed to be an indicator for exact XX:45 XX:54 i still didnt figure out the 1 offset.. but dont take my word on any of this.. i have about an hours worth of nines. trying this technique and a few adaptive ones on the way.. ill let you know probably tomorrow my findings.

oh it does feel like the hammer is counting down sometimes but then randomly goes back up.. but thats part of being random it has tendancies that forwhatever you wanna notice you think you see a pattern

i know but you actually hammered four times instead of 2. doing that, would that mess up your chances of getting a nine?

3 different accounts of 8 minute trials show that this "method" has less than a 10% success rate. The video is pure luck. Note how one of the 9s he gets isn't even on queue, it's on 47 seconds.
