This two Time Machine Stages bring you back to the rouths of Smash Brothers:

Time Machine 64 & Time Machine Melee both start in a Big Maschine with some plattforms. The Layout of the two Time Machines are diffrent, but the function are the same.

After some time the travlling beginns and with a warp (simler to Castle Siege), you land in a classic stage from 64 or Melee. After your visit you will be get warp back to the Time Machine form the start, only to get warp to another place and time. The chose is random.

Stages for 64:
Dreamland
Kongo Jungle
Hyrule Castle
Peach Castle
Saffron City

Stages for Melee:
Brinstar Depths
Jungle Japes
Great Bay
Venom
Fourside

(I would choose those, because this melee stages probly will not have any counterpart in brawl).

There could also be a Time MachineRetro Stage:
The Time Machine sends the player to diffrent 8-Bit Stages like the Mushroom Kingdom Stages or Subcon. Only that there more like Donkey Kong Arcarde, Link's Adventure, Kirby's Dreamland, etc. ... so we have more space for other stages =P

Interesting idea. But, I think I'd rather the background just change, showing various games and such from the 64, 'Cube eras...

First, it's *machine* >.< Reading "maschine" a billion times just annoyed me, sorry :p Anyways...

I didn't mind the idea of the Retro Time Machine, it sort of fits with the whole concept of a, well, you know, Time Machine. Heh. As for the Time Machine levels of 64 and Melee, I'm sort of divided.

Sure it could be interesting to throw 5 stages into one and constantly swapping, but I think I'd rather the option to just have each old returning stage separately unlockable like in Melee. I mean everyone has those stages that they hate, but since no stage really "swaps" whole-heartedly like this you can avoid said stages by simply not picking them. This concept however could end up being more irritating than interesting though depending on what stages one takes a liking to. It could be interesting if, say, you could select certain stages to put into rotation? Although I'm not sure if that would then go against the whole concept/have too many possible stages for rotation.

Overall, I like the true Retro stage one, but I'd rather just have a selection of singular previous smash game stages. Just my opinion though, but I have a feeling I'm in the minority :ohwell:

Somewhere...
This is the greatest paststage design EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!. I would never have thought of that. Maybe even the time machine would be located in a final destination like background.

Wow, this is a good idea. Definitely much more plausible than having an extra fifteen individual stages or so from previous games added to Brawl. I can imagine a stage like this being made...

That would be awesome.

I'd love to see these stages. It seems to be the best stage idea in a while. You get a cookie.

EDIT: Make it the Melee stages that Johnknight1 said though.

Now there's a good idea. A way to not waste stage space AND bring back a bunch of old stages. I like it.

the problem is developing the time machine stage would take as much time as developing 10 stages, and take up as much disc space as ten stages. a nice a idea, sure, but space wise and time wise, not feasible.

i agree with bizybozo...it'd be tool hard to do
how about downloadable stages(which someone told me they were thinking about)
but all the old stages could then be available

This idea would be really awesome if you started out on the time machine stage, but didn't have to go back between levels.:)
