ok so with falco i generally do pretty well, but when i switch to fox, it takes me some time to adjust to play the style i need to use to be effective. i started to think about why this happens, and i realized as fox, im missing one thing: the shl. my game is noticeably weaker without it, which leads me to believe that my spacing is pretty weak. the most obvious way to work on this is to play without lasers, etc, but i was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and/or had ways of dealing with it, any thoughts?

Dash dancing is an effective way to fluidly manipulate the space between your opponent's and your own zones.

Don't get so robotic with the SHL and think about spacing more. SHL does have it's exploits and if you play someone who can space around them well enough, and you don't have anything else, you're in trouble.

SHL can definitely become second nature.. just try to mix up your game with dash dancing, otherwise your opponent can read you easily.

Do a bit of dash dancing followed by a nice nair approach, I really don't know what to say, just keep practicing and you'll get the feel for it.
