What? Why take a perfectly good pokemon out of his pokeball and make him a playable character? Scizor was too dominant for words back in Melee. :)
Well, in all honesty, Charizard says hey.

what is so ridiculous about it? People support a character, just like they do any other character...

Scizor would be great for a Trainer substitute; I have a theory you can unlock new Pokémon for the Trainer, and play as them in a line-up of three. Scizor would be a great medium, replacing Ivysaur.

As himself, he'd be great. Those claws, the ninja-like design, the sinister eyes, the sleek red look. And the thought of a pitch black Scizor with red highlights as a color change is too cool!

I like the theory

I'd love to have Scizor in. It's not very likely, but hey, you never really know.

GENGAR FOR BRAWL!

But seriously, try to lurk around the boards more often than making useless topics like this. Just for future reference.
But seriously, he's the only remaining character who hasn't been confirmed already (bar Mewtwo) who deserves a place in Brawl.

Who Scizor? Scizor is just a random pokemon. They'd pick a much more recognizable and influential Pokemon. Possibly Darkrai or Lucario.

But Gengar, Zangoose, or Milotic would be awesome in Brawl.

Scizor would be an awesome addition, but I'd still prefer Gallade.

I never thought of Scizor before...funny, since he's my favorite pokemon and he's awesome. I don't think he has any actual chance of making it, but it would be amazing if Scizor was in Brawl.

no offence, but that theory is ridiculous... while cool, it's ridiculous; and I have no idea how you developed such a theory...

nice moveset, by the way. I like the idea of Silver Wind as a Final Smash.
Boy, was this a delayed reaction on my part.

My theory is that the Pokémon Trainer could have some of the other Pokémon be replacements for Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard. It's based off the premise that being a Trainer, your goal is you Gotta Catch 'Em All! While it may be a bit much to have more characters/Pokémon as Trainer characters, it's a nice way to get a lot of eligible Pokémon.

You could choose your roster, and even save it on names and Wiimotes. You'll have to unlock several new ones, small ones to replace Squirtle (Machop, Sneasel, Treecko, Parichisu), medium ones to replace Ivysaur (Scizor, Heracross, Grovyle, Gengar), and large ones to replace Charizard (Flygon, Typholosion, Infernape, Dragonite).

Scizor, one way or another, would be an excellent PC. His fanbase is huge (check out deviant art), his concept feels like a ninja or samurai, and he seriously could pwninate the opposition!

When Melee wasn't released (well, maybe it was, but I didn't have it when it came out...) I saw a screenshot of Pokefloats and Scizor on it... I really hoped that he's playable, but sadly he's only a Pokeball Pokemon :(
