Scizor would be great for a Trainer substitute; I have a theory you can unlock new Pokémon for the Trainer, and play as them in a line-up of three. Scizor would be a great medium, replacing Ivysaur.

As himself, he'd be great. Those claws, the ninja-like design, the sinister eyes, the sleek red look. And the thought of a pitch black Scizor with red highlights as a color change is too cool!

I prefer heracross than scizor... Heracross would rock with attacks such as brick break or close combat. It could make 5 jumps as it has wings. It would be the best option for a 2nd Gen. pokemon rep.

As for the 3rd Gen., a Pokemon trainer with treecko marshtomp and Blaziken would be the best option.
