Yes they do. This gen's consoles have failed to impress me. They all have either stupid problems (PS3, Xbox360), or a pathetic library of games (Wii).

None of these consoles have given me my money's worth. I mean, what were they thinking?

Let's start with the Xbox 360. This is the console with the most fail. Red ring of death anyone? What kind of an idiot notices every xbox has a problem and instead of solving it he programs it so when the problem arises it nicely tells you so. What a prick! Not to mention that I'm sick of Xbox stealing PS3 exclusives. And the fact that I paid for 12 months of Xbox Live and two days later the ring appeared to me.

Wii. Wii sports. Wii play. Wii fit. What the hell? This is worse than N64's obsession of naming every game with a 64. At least they were good games. Donkey Kong 64. Mario 64. Mario Kart 64. Good games. Wii Play? Not so much. What really pisses me off is the incredible amount of sh**** games. The same goes to the DS, though it's not as bad.

And the PS3. This one really disappointed me. When I bought this console I expected everything Xbox and Wii couldn't give me. Good games and a reliable, long lasting console. I was so hyped I bought MGS4 and KH2 at the same time. I mean, PS3 has playback, doesn't it?

No. How could they be so stupid as to take out playback? I mean, Wii has it. Was it so hard to implement it to the PS3? Well, apparently, 20, 60 and 80 GB had it, but I was so stupid I got the 40 GB. It doesn't make any sense at all! 20 GB has it. Also, 40 GB only has 2 USB ports, and 20 GB has 4! What the hell? PS2 had been known for its playback capabilities, so why did they disappoint me this bad? My anger just went up another notch when I saw in Playstation Network that there was some sort of patch to play PS2 games. I was so happy. But obviously they had to kill my hope. "Take note that this patch doesn't work with 40 GB models." **** YOU!

So yeah, here ends my rant.

The Wii has plenty of good games, and gameplay.
I guess you have bad luck with PS3`s though, that is stupid.

To add: The PSP is a brick with hardly any interesting games at all.

But yes, the current generation does indeed suck. DS is an exception, has a ton of good games, tho.

It says consoles, not handhelds, and I just mentioned DS cause its basically the same problem as the Wii. And I can't rant about things I don't own or haven't even played.

Seriously, if Sonic wasn't in any of the garbage that's being offered to me, I think I would kill myself due to life being so miserably boring...

Either that, or I would've just stuck with Animal Crossing for the Wii if I had to to begin with...

Yes, but the only one that's actually exclusive is Folklore.

I don't know, I'd have to say that I'm satisfied with my PS3 (you know, other than the fact that they pulled a dickmove but not making the 40GB have PS2 playback. The *******s). Oh, and the fact that the sixais is the most useless thing they've built into a controller ever since original Xbox put in the white and black buttons.

I have to say that it's really the 360 that gets on my nerves, more specifically, the 360 fanboys who claim superiority to the PS3 in every way, even though most of them have never played one.

Let's see, the two huge issues I have with the 360 is this. One, you're paying money to join the most dysfunctional community I've ever seen. And while the PS3 community may be silent as the grave, at least I don't have to pay to get in. And while we lowly PS3 owners may not have all of your exclusives, at least our system doesn't get the red ring of death if you look at it funny!

Absolutely finalark. The PS3 is the console that has brought me the most satisfaction. Actually the list goes from worst to best, so the PS3 is the top console in my eyes right now. That's why it disappointed me even more the lack of play back.

I rather enjoy my PSP. Although it is hacked. So I'm playing a lot of ROMs and things on it. But still! I do lovelovelove the silly games on the thing. <3 Like Patapon and LocoRoco.

And not some silly thing like Phantasy Star etc. :3 :3 ;3!

Also, I agree. Every system has been ********, although I quite like the DS, I think it's touchscreen is actually a well used innovation, and it only augments the traditional button layout anyway.

But yeah you're right, current gen sucks (it has no flair anymore).

I agreed with all of your points, except for the DS. Since I consider it to be in the Top 4 consoles ever made. The 3 current consoles are plauged with different problems.

Xbox: Technical and expensive online
PS3: Hardware stupidity, elitism, lack of exclusives
Wii: Terrible online and lack of non-shovelware

The 360 should get that metal too. Almost everything that comes out on the 360 comes out a year later on the PS3, although I've never seen it happen the other way.

And that's not really true, the PS3 has plenty of exclusives. The 360 is the one that's lacking.

Well, yeah, the DS is actually pretty good. What I was trying to get at is that the DS started the same way as the Wii. NintenDogz, Brain Age Academy, and the works. Maybe the Wii is doing likewise, starting with the casual games, and slowly going up the "tier".

Let's see all of the big-name exclusives for the 360:

Gears of War (1 and 2), Halo 3, Halo: Recon (or whatever it was called) Halo Wars

PS3:

Resistance (1 and 2), Haze, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Uncharted

seems about even to me, so you really can't say that one has more exclusives than the other.

Oh, and the reason why I didn't include Left 4 Dead was because Valve announced that they were going to make a PS3 port.

Big name. Also known as blockbusters (Resistance, Halo, Gears of War). The only huge series the PS3 has is Resistance. In my opinion, Ratchet and Clank does not qualify as a blockbuster.

So yeah, Killzone 2 is a hugely mainstream game right now. MGS4 another, let me think here...

Okay, so we're going to get Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and that's the only one I can think of.

So to rephrase my previous statement:

Let's see all of the big-name exclusives for the 360:

Lol yeah. PS3 really has some good games. I forgot to mention the good RPG's since we were talking about "blockbusters", but there are plenty of good games. Disgaea series, (possibly) White Knight Story, Valkyria Chronicles.

And yeah, InFamous looks bad ***. A similar game is [Prototype], but that one is Xbox/PS3.

In most cases, the less people know about a game company, the better. I think the reason why is because the smaller companies aren't super worried about if their game is mainsteam or not. Because of this, that means that they don't have to pump out games about heavily armored space marine number 5346544356546235354-billion killing aliens.

Exactly. They have more space and time to be original and to put effort into the game. Once the first game is a huge success, the fans crave for more and most companies cave in because of the pressure. Gladly some of the best franchises aren't affected by the fan pressure, but that is the main reason why you see sucky sequels of an awesome game so often.

While LBP isn't exactly my cup of tea, it is an excellent exclusive.

Well actually there's no right or wrong reply, people havet heir opinion and can say games where good before 90s, or they could say it was only great that far (I do anyway), or some pople can even be insane enough to say that the new century's games are good... or even to extreme expectations and say games are and were always good.

That would be nice. But they would have to be intelligent people who actually know what makes a game good. And would stop with the space marines. And the WWII shooters. And they would need to bring back RPGs and RTS'.
