Lets play a game. Games are fun. Ya'know what else is fun? Sharing information about Yoshi tricks!
Maybe you can see where Im going with this.

The objective of the game is to score points, I will keep a count of everyones score on the first post.
You score points by sharing any little tricks you have with Yoshi.
Heres how it works: I will post a little trick or technique that I use with Yoshi that works for me, it can be anything you do with Yoshi that works.
For posting that little trick, I score a point. Yay.
Now, the other way to score a point is to suggest a valid situation where a trick previously posted by someone else, wouldn't work. So, say I posted grab release > fair spike, then the next person posted that it doesn't work on a lot of characters, they would get a point for pointing out a situation where your trick does not apply. Obviously thats just a very basic example.
If 5 or more critisisms are posted against your trick, you lose a point.
The last method of scoring points is by posting a video of the trick being used successfully as either a demonstration or during a match. Posting a video of the trick being utilized is worth a whole 2 points.

Rules:
You can post 1 trick, 1 criticism of another trick and 1 video per post.
You can only post once every 4 posts. (so, there muse be at least 3 posts between your post and your previous post before that)
You can critisize any trick that has been posted before your post. (Except ones you posted)

I think this will be a nice way of sharing experience on playing Yoshi and learning new things to incoperate into your game, as well as a little bit of fun.
I will keep a list of every trick and critism of it on the OP.
Try to make sure you only post tricks that work...
Have fun!

I will start the game of with an old favourite:

Rising dair > nair from the ledge.

im not sure about that, as the small amount of hitstun that the move has will have at leasts 3 frames of hitstun so nair has enough time to hit.

bair to up/f tillt solid combo

No, I've had people powershield it before...

Of course, it could be that I just buffered it wrongly.

Yoshi bomb cancel on sloped ledge -> egg lay. If the star hits them, its guaranteed the egg lay will land.

It can be shielded sometimes, but it depends on some factors.
It depends on your momentum, what character they choose and your spacing.

Critisim: Bair > Ftilt

Thats some crazy DRing scatz, how the hell did you get that effecient with it.

EDIT: I've decided to add a new rule. Video of trick is worth another 2 points!
Check the rules section.

Just another day.

I think my Locator answers that. xD I only have like 2-3 friends that will actually play brawl (and that are good). So, I either do homework, chill with my friends, or mess in training mode (the other option is getting drunk, but I'm under-aged and don't plan to screw anything up for my degree).

When I stop being lazy, There's gonna be a video that show you guys how I actually DR/DT on both the Classic Controller and the GameCube Controller. Since a lot of people can't stand change, my setup - B = jump, X = specials (I'm not listing the shoulder buttons cause that's preference), makes people think that I'm insane for doing something like that. However, it's one of the most effective setups I've used cause there's no technique for Yoshi, or nearly any other character for that matter, that I can't do with that setup.

LOL @ rediculessly high drinking age in the US.

Im not good when it comes to changing my control setup, when I try to make changes it always messes me up :/

EDIT: You adressed it in the other thread lol

EDIT2: Im just going to edit this instead of posting again...
You are wise indeed grampz, I'll learn tap off, just to see if I prefer it. Your sliding technique sounds great, Im gonna try it when I get home.

I think that the sliding method (which is sliding your thumb down some buttons so the game will register 2 jumps instantly) is better than tap jump. No one is good at changing, but we slowly make them change right? Why is it that we attempt to expect immediate results after switching something that we may have started today?

Draconic Trot.

To bad people are to lazy to do it. I think only Sub, Scat, and I can do it, iirc.

oh, i would just wavebounce a reverse egg lay. dont have to waste a jump, gain some spacing too if you miss (incase they spot dodge or something).

isn't it 1 trick per most? lol
