nothing is farther from the truth, here try this: play a game of falcon vs samus and have the samus player shoot smash missiles at you; if you time it well, raptor boost goes under the missile and hits samus. The reason this works is because falcon gets low off the ground, a sort of crouch if you will and thus high hitting projectiles go above his head. This can work (if timed well) against mewtwo's shadow ball, samus' semi-big bomb, link's arrows or bombs, etc etc etc. Falcon kick has nothin on that :/

on the other hand falcon kick is good for going horizontally in the air off of platforms and generally annoying people, not much beyond that. No I'd have to say as far as usefulness is concerned, teh bewst wins

although like you said, raptor boost in air is total epic lose

I actually have an idea: the FK moves with less height and more power. Then, Falcon can have a move that connects to the games (not to mention is a projectile) and sill has a counter move! Falcon has no connection with his series right now, and, a Sakurai would say;

"He must recover!"

prolly gonna gets flames here but, i'd like to see some implications of the original captain mixed in with the new. Give him back that good old broken speed in his D-Air, and perhaps regift some moves too Ganondorf.
Ex. Let G-Dorf keep the double leg sweep, the smash D-Tilt was faster.
G-Dorf should also inherit his own form of the 64 Falcon Elbow Up-Smash, as the a reworked upsmash
I don't know the proper application of the Down-B other than surprise technique; it hurts that it moves you so far and so fast while in air, and will often lead you sliding off stage due to his extra momentum... perhaps some changes in this area
Give him back his old combo, we like the gentle and we don't always want to go into a fist of the north star style punch fest... at least that's just me
And of course get that falcon punch and spike out quicker please!! just my opinions lol

Probably old news, but apparently the Japanese voice actor for Captain Falcon is already announced...

SO, he's in the game in some form...


...It doesn't confirm playable, he could end up as an AT (Sheik Joke)

Evidence for Captain Falcon in Brawl:

1. F-Zero Icon present on Dojo's website. Why else go to the trouble to make an icon for a franchise only to show Samurai Goroh as an assist trophy?
2. The Red Alloy has an uncanny resemblance to Captain Falcon. In SSB & SSBM, the respective Fighting Polygon Team & the Wire Frames resemble playable characters. Also, check out the How to Play video for SSBB on the Brawl Central site. At around 3:40 you can see the Red Alloy doing moves similar to SSBM Captain Falcon.
3. With appearances in both SSB & SSBM, why would Sakurai get rid of such a unique & awesome character, not to mention one of the first veterans.

As Captain Falcon is my main, I anxiously await a Dojo update confirming his Brawl appearance.

Here is my theory:

In a homeage to Fist of the North Star and/or God Hand, he throws punches at ludicrously extreme speeds 100 times while launching energy fists. It would be called the "Falcon Hundred"
