JFox - What I do with sheik is something I like to call "false pressuring". You close the distance between you and your opponent without ever really getting in true contact range (as apposed to womping on my opponent shields with ganon "true pressure") You then begin tilting and fairing/bairing on them. She has a couple of shield stabs that are good to know. You basically work off of the opponent, using sheiks speed to capitalize on their movement and/or lack of priority. Then there is also needle grabbing and junk like that. In most cases, you grab - you win. So yah, try maybe indirect approaching - and forcing your opponents to make moves first.

Ganon just wails and forces my opponents to cry.

Also, is everyone going to the biweekly? I might go but not enter. I kinda want to have a tunes practice session this weekend but with the biweekly in sight im not sure everyone would be up for it.

PS - My sheik approach is just one sheik approach, it works for me so. I am sure Vanz and Haley could give better support (although Haley gives the worst effing advice)

I think im goin to the tourney, but not entering. I'm just gonna get practice there. Honestly, i kinda hate playing against Vanz, Tec0, or Eggm. They are just wayyy too good vs my character, and I've played them all sooo much. They also don't allow me to even train my secondary cuz they will just 4 stock it, which is mean. LOL I like fighting oorah and skirbz cuz we never fight, and they are closer to my level so i don't feel like im wasting their time.

No doubt, then maybe we can get some practice sessions if i go down. Why do you fight lol? Vanz gives good advice at least (just dont ask him about counter - picking characters lol his tier list is all whacked up).

At the very least we can play other people and watch each other so that we can review and talk about strat, weaknesses, and strengths. Whatever you do, just remember to keep your characters you (keep your style)

I've found that whenever I'm playing tournament matches I tend to freeze up and overthink things a lot. Which means I end up doing nothing but turnip spam for the most part. I actually play a lot better when I play aggro then when I'm trying to play campy. I'm always thinking about what people are gonna say about me if I win/lose to a player, rather than just play to have fun. So I need to find a way to relax and just play to have fun. I play a lot better when I'm having fun.

That goes for a LOT of people. Thats why I scream lol. It keeps me entertained and relaxed (and aggro). It helps to remove the tourney atmosphere. If I am ever quiet, thats how you know it is a mad serious match. But I def know where you are coming from.

Jfox - your implication that you were wasting our time sucks. I never feel like I'm wasting my time playing you. you're always improving and I love to see players make progress. (unlike those who cracked under pressure and just made brawl switch.. lol) you're doing fine and I'm def. not the only one who see's it.

oh and about you switching to sheik. it's fine and all (and no one understands why u would switch like I do) but I honestly think you should stick w/ peach. You're Technical and creative in a way that I never was. And you've advanced much quicker than I did. that's reason enough to keep her. and if you keep up that pace, you'll be ridiculous.

Wow Vanz, I never thought you felt that way. I kinda always thought you thought of me as just another typical Peach player that dsmashes too much or isn't smart or something.

Still I don't have any plans to quit peach, just to pick up a secondary, cuz I feel that Peach brings you to a dead end if she is all you have. Even Cort uses secondaries, especially vs Marth, which is why I feel he was the most successful Peach main when it came to tourneys.

Anyway, thanks for all the awesome compliments. I still feel like when we play I'm not helping you get better much, but at least I know you don't mind ****** my stocks.

K so, me and Dan were actually thinking of making a crew combo vid. but it would have to be active members, as non-active members would be impossible to get footage of.

Reason - Eggm making a vid, Haley making a vid, Dan has clips, I want a sequal, and how sexy would it be to have everyone in? This would also give us a good reason to find some time to record and get together and practice. Merely an idea >.>

Crew combo vid sounds hot. I know I'm wayy behind and would have work to do, but my peach def has a lot of moments where I think it would be sick if that were in a combo video.
