Also, if you dont want them in the "Special" category you can change the character discriptionWell, if you have the version 6.0 (not 6.1), you will have some problems adding new icons, although it is still possible. But the only thing you have to do is put your icons in the "images" folder (in png format, and keeping the same size and name structure of the other ones) and then add them with the "Add new character icons" button. They should now appear in the list of characters under the category "Special".

Woah that's such a crazy suggestion because it's not like there's already a way to do that or anything!!Hey, I think it would be cool if you made a way to add our own custom characters! You could do something like a) add a feature like this to the software where you can add an image and write the name, or b) we could add our own files using the template. Just a suggestion!
There is a "Pokémon Trainer" icon in the Roster Maker. If you get a blank space that appears after loading a roster, that means that the image file for that specific character is not present in the "images" folder. So the needed image file for said character could have been either deleted or renamed.Has anyone brought up changing "Pokémon Trainer" to "Kanto Trainer" in the Brawl roster? Right now it's just a blank space. Maybe his name should just be reverted to Pokémon Trainer, considering that was his name in the last game and that there is no other image file with that exact name (there are trainers for specific regions but a generic Pokémon trainer).
As Fawfulcopter mentioned just above, there is already a way to add custom icons to the Roster Maker. But if you're talking about making a function for creating an icon by uploading an image and entering a name, I already tried implementing something like that before, and while it worked, the image quality of the icons made that way were always of pretty bad quality.Hey, I think it would be cool if you made a way to add our own custom characters! Gee, sorry...Woah that's such a crazy suggestion because it's not like there's already a way to do that or anything!!
Use the templates, create an image, save it in the images folder as "Icon(Character Name)".png and then press the Add New Character Icons button in the File menu of your Roster Maker. It's easy enough that a baby can do it.
Aw, that stinks! But thanks anyways! As Fawfulcopter mentioned just above, there is already a way to add custom icons to the Roster Maker. Would you mind telling me when you make the post?I'm using photoshop, but the icons I posted i had made a while ago.
Next week I plan to make a huge post containing most icons i've made (that is not already in the roster maker).
I'm not sure whether something like that would be more useful or more cumbersome, but I'll try to see what I can do to implement some feature like that.Yo I just had a super clever idea. In addition to having Nintendo characters, also have icons for letters of the alphabet so we can like, spell out words and junk on the sidelines of our rosters or whatevers. Numbers too. That'd be vaguely cool.
Hmm... I don't know what exactly is the problem you're talking about. Are you still able to move some icons from one square to another, or none at all? Here's another bug I noticed, but I'm not sure if it's just a problem on my end. When I try to move an icon, it doesn't let me move it. When I drag it, it stops once it reaches the icon's border. This occurred both on the 6.0 and the 6.1. Anything you might know to fix this?
I've never encountered that problem myself. Make sure you do the right thing to move them around. If anyone else has had a similar problem, it would be nice to know.I'm unable to move them at all.
