The only thing I can see it being used for is for like pics and videos

Well, that and big posts like the intro posts for support threads. Nobody is really gonna use it for actual spoilers anymore.

The old school spoilers are nice if you want to compact images(images don't work with the new spoilers) and they're also really good for organization
It just depends on what you're doing. Casually talking about a game and don't want the spoiler box to intrude on your paragraph? Just use this new one.
Writing up a long winded post and need a bunch of images that are super big with spoilers? Use the box spoilers. It's always nice to have more options.

Come to think of It, yeah.

Walls of texts could also cause lag in devices which aren't really powerful enough.

That is also another thing the old spoilers format would be useful for.

I could see using the table format in the near future too.

The thing I find annoying so far however is that It seems tough to edit out the tables from a quoted post on phone, which is in a way too time-consuming.
