Anyway since I'm back here's some quick thoughts on Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
- Why am I crying over magic sandwhiches

- Remember kids, if you're being bullied at school for being too pretty and popular, form a gang and use threats of violence to scare them into dropping out. Don't forget to bring battle tanks and a rockin' soundtrack. You'll be the good guys for it, I promise.

- Nemona treads a fine line between loveable and annoying, but I think I like her.

- The game was actually hard at times but like, the good kind of hard. I took on a lot of challenges underleveled and felt rewarded for using status moves and I loved that.

- On that note, Clodsire carried my team hard with water absorb, yawn and toxic spikes.

- Why am I crying over a halfnaked robot cavewoman

- Terra Raid battles are a huge step down from Dynamax raid battles.

- I can't believe they fixed Mega Salamence and made it actually cool. Even its shiny form. Amazing.

My end game team was Fire Croc, Lightning Birb, TheyTurnedQuagsireIntoANewt, Farigarafarigarafarafirig, Green Bike Lizard and Tauros.

We are doing some preparation stuff for a group project regarding my chinese classes and I'm reading interesting stuff about the topic we need to talk about (the Middle Autumn celebration I think would be called in English).

It seems that for the celebration they make these moon-shaped cakes/biscuits with lotus seeds which have the chinese word for "reunion" written on them, all to eat them while watching the Moon. And depending on the part of China there are other stuff they do too.
Quite curious.

my office, probably
Really happy with my Violet team. Might be the best team I've had in a Switch Pokemon game (I like both of my PLA teams but I kinda wish I could bend the fabric of reality and merge the parts of them I like most)

You know, ever since I saw the Black Adam movie (my thoughts about It as a whole will come when I eventually do my list of best and worst movies of 2022) there's something which stood out for me quite a lot: the music. And I've been wanting to talk about one theme which clicked for me but couldn't due to the usual structure of Discord. But now that I'm here I feel It is a good time to do so. Gonna keep It under spoilers as to not flood the chat. Obvious spoilers for the movie btw.

This is the theme in concrete, It is called "Introducing the JSA" which plays when Hawkman is presenting the team to Amanda Waller, and while It isn't TASM2 theme by Hams Zimmer or the Superman theme by John Williams... I find It to be really clever in its structure. Here's why:

From the beginning to the 0:38 timestamp, we have what I like to call "the Hawkman segment". It basically is the most neutral part of the theme, and I feel this is intentional as Hawkman is meant to be the skelleton/the leader of the group. He is keeping It all together and has the duty of making sure each decission they make follows certain rules and order. As such, It makes sense that his part of the theme is the most balanced.

We then get to a part which goes up until 1:36, which I call "the Cyclone part". The theme starts getting modern almost techno beats, representing not just the technical skills of Cyclone but also her youth. She's one of the most recent members, and has a lot of knowledge and control over her powers. This confidence is also shown on the orchestrated parts of this section, basically showing that she has a bright future on the team and there's a lot of faith on her.

We now get to my favourite part which goes all the way to 2:32. This is "the Atom Smasher part". A similar modern beat plays here too, but this time the theme starts getting louder and stronger, almost as if It were making Giant steps. We get a short part resembling Hawkman's theme, probably in reference to Smasher's father. And this gets followed by the music getting a crescendo which makes It feel larger than life. I feel this part represents not just Atom Smasher's ability to grow in size to become a Giant, but also all the stuff he has to live up to as the son of a Legacy member. He has to prove to Hawkman that he is worth of being at the team and he has big shoes to fill in.

We then get a short pause and until 3:34 we get "the Dr.Fate part". This time the theme feels important, almost mythical even. It helps show that not only is Dr.Fate an important Legacy member... He's also one of the most powerful and mystical members and you feel with this part the strength and importance he has.

From that point until the end we basically get "The assembling part". All these motives I brought all combine together and form one melody which sounds heroic, classic and modern at the same time. Showing how the team has united these four characters and hyping the audience up to see their teamwork

Overall, as the title of the theme says, It is literally introducing to the audience the whole team. And It almost feels really natural on the way the song manages It. It's quite clever and It really caught my attention while seeing the movie.

And that's basically It. While Black Adam is not a perfect movie and there's a lot to improve, I do feel that there was some genuine effort put behind It. And I think this theme does show so. Wish the movie could have had a better management as I feel a lot of its ideas were good.

I don't know much about Midway other than Gauntlet so what kind of characters it could provide?
Rampage, Defender, Spy Hunter, Paperboy, Joust, Tapper, War Gods, Primal Rage, Bio FREAKS, Mace: The Dark Age, Timber, Skull and Crossbones, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, NBA Jam, Blitz: The League, CarnEvil, Area 51, an obscure GameCube platformer called Dr. Muto, an obscure ps2 shooter called Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, an obscure PS2 survival horror game called The Suffering, and of course Mortal Kombat
That’s everything I can name off the top of my head.

TIL that you can re-fight the Titans, except they're normal sized and static encounters.

Also they have 6 guaranteed 30 IVs.
I saw this yesterday to. Wish I knew before hand, because I totally would have used the quaking Titan on my team.

The movie was good, but the soundtrack was on god mode. Sure it’s no TSS or Peacemaker, but it’s a continuation of the DCEU getting their act together.

I enjoyed Black Adam for what it was, of course not without its flaws that is. I notably hated the kid, he was really annoying and movie kind of felt like the second entry in the Black Adam series, should've been an origin movie taking place in ancient Egypt. Should've also had the Justice Society of America introduced in an earlier movie that it could've fleshed out their characters more.

Can't relate, Amon was super fun to me.

Without the parallels between his optimism and Teth-Adam's son, his character development would fall flat.

They should've then at least made him less annoying.
I think he’s supposed to be growing into the role as the years go by, based on what a DC person said some time ago. You’ll have to likely get used to his ways as the times go by.

Funny you mention Iroh because there's been a Death Battle MU I've been growing fond that has him in it.

Bo Rai Cho (Mortal Kombat) VS Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
