Unfortunately that's my parents' call and they love her too much to do that

Fortunately I'm almost definitely going to move sometimes next year so I won't have to deal with her for a while

There's nothing wrong with being affectionate on that level. Being a stereotypical cancer sign myself, i tend to over love people, whether it's friendship or more. And considering the different phases as civilizations gets more challenging and less kinder, your empathy is very much human and needed. You and the rest should discard the overly traditionalist audience. Don't give them power.

So I have no idea what’s really hurting Gamefreak here.

I thought Monolith Soft was already busy helping the Zelda team on top of making their own games.

True, but they are big enough company, that after XC3 which was well in development before these games and according to rumors was finished almost a year out from its launch, they could definitely have given some support.

If not then,like mentioned above, Nintendo moved Gamefreak into their main game design office. Meaning there’s plenty of other in house studios and developers that could have been sent temporally to help tidy up this game.
