Muz, when you make the poster, can you possibly see about creating a logo for Smashtality? Something we can use everytime and that people will know it's for our tournament?

If anyone wants to put in a creative logo as well, go for it.

EDIT: Or... how about, we make a logo contest for the community, and whoever wins can get free entry into the tournament? I'll pay for the pot for that person to enter. What do you guys think?

Anyway, I'll update the roster as soon as I can. Big changes, imo.

8/29/06 - We have a new second-in-command! Or is it two?

Muz has been elected as the new second-in-command/Team Captain of TSA! He's done so much for this crew, and Emblem Lord was happy to hand him the position. I say it was something well deserved!

I don't want to leave Mud out of it, though, as I imagine he had some part in helping Muz and the crew. Should I give it to both of them? My twin right hands. Amazing.

As for Emblem Lord and his ex-role as a second-in-command:

Also, we're planning our next Smashtality in October, perhaps the 21st. Be on the lookout for it!

Finally, the biggest news of all is that we are closing the open registration for TSA, as we've gathered many members, and the ones who apply either never show up to the meetings, or don't meet the crew's needs at the moment. Instead, we have reverted to special invitations only until futher notice. Please check the Recruitment section for more details.

first off, good meeting this past sunday, we had a lot of fun games + we had a very productive meeting.
second, you guys are high to think that looks like woz LOL
third, i hope to become a good second-in-commander even though i have the crappiest skills among us heh. lucky for us my organization skills are better than my tech skills :D
fourth, i can't see the image you posted in your last post Woz....a little ironic seeing as the image title is "failed.jpg"!
fifth, i've made a draft of our next tourney poster, any input on the design/layout/logo is appreciated

sixth, as my first executive decision as 2nd-Guy, i'm announcing a BYOC policy at our next tourny- thats bring your own chair! YEAH! (ok maybe not :p )

Grats to Mud and Muz. Emblem Lord is teh suck.

Alas, the new school year approaches, as does my eventual departure from the ranks of the main branch of TSA.

I will start recruiting members from around the Philadelphia area starting in October. I am currently looking to have about 6 members total. PakmanonCrack will most likely be the second in command for the PA branch, as he is able to contribute a great deal of computer knowledge and is skilled with a wide variety of characters. The PA branch will try and attend crew meetings in Jersey twice a month, but will probably only bring a maximum of 4 people per visit, as Pakman and I will be definites, and we can choose 2 members to have the full TSA experience (get *****).

I will add onto this later, as I have no internet currently and my access times are limited :D

Freakin' sweet.

I'll change the roster to make way for the PA branch, or you can mae a new one and do it there. Either way is fine.

8/30/06 - Cactuar and Public Enemy #1 have been re-assigned on the roster as acting leaders of the branches they belong to. Pakmanoncrack has also been added under the PA Branch as second-in-command. TSA is getting bigger and badder.

(I'm sure Pakman posted his information somewhere. When I find it, I'll add to his profile.)

My current info (subject to change):
Name: PakmanOnCrack
Main Character: Falcon
Secondaries: DK, Luigi, Many others i save for friendlies
Location: Delaware County: 'burbs of Philly

Sweet, 2nd in command and I didn't do nothing. I have a website that I have been fooling around with. You can find that here. Videos and member information will be posted here at my leisure. I will probably update the site to reflect our affiliation to TSA when school begins.

For those in the philadelphia area, TSA's Philadelphia branch headquaters will be at Cactuar's place in University Crossings. Its the enormous white apartment complex on 32 and Market st. in center city.

I just wanted to say a few more words about me giving up my position.

Originally, I was only going to elect someone to help me out during the school year because Andrew was going to be busy. But when I thought about it, it didn't make sense to put the workload onto me because I would be busy with school too. So that's when I decided to permanently hand over my position. The more I thought about it the more I became convinced that the position wasn't for me.

When Andrew first asked me to join the crew, I gave him the condition that I would only join if I became second in command. The crew was smaller back then and not as well known. It was all fun and games to me. I never really took the position seriously. I only got it because Andrew and I are best friends and he really wanted me in the crew. As second in command I didn't go above and beyond. I was vanilla. I did what Andrew asked of me, but nothing beyond that. Now that our crew has been recognized as the strongest and biggest crew in NJ, I realize that my attitude about being second in command would only hurt our crew's efforts to become stronger and better.

What TSA needs now is a leader. And that's just not me. It never was. Muz will do a much better job then I ever could have. He won't let TSA down.

Which brings me to another point. Now that I'm no longer a leader of TSA, I have been thinking about what I have contributed to the crew. And I have contributed very little. I'm not really doing much for this crew. I feel like everyone else is doing more then me. Which is why I have been contemplating leaving TSA. Right now it's not definite, but I have been thinking about it. Andrew basically ran SMASHTALITY by himself along with Muz and Mud's help. Plus I missed the last two meetings before that day.
It just makes sense that I would feel like I'm not doing anything for the crew and why I would want to leave. Like I said, nothing is definite yet. Give me some feed back guys and then give me more time to think before I come to a decision.

Emblem, first off, don't take the game too seriously. The reason I joined to crew is to have fun, hang out with cool people, and get better in smash. If you don't want to be leader than thats fine, but that doesn't mean you have to quit TSA all together. Just have fun and relax. And also, now that Cactuar is in PA, I still need a gay marth to play against, lol

Shut up Emblem. You're staying so I can tell you to GTFO.

Edit: Knowing Marcel will whine about my post because he takes things so seriously, here are my two cents.

Marcel, as far as I know, you're one of the stronger crew members, and you've been placing higher than most of us recently. It's one of the best ways of showing that TSA is a powerful crew.

Stop whining and get even stronger. That's all you want, right? Quit sounding so emo, you ***.

If Emblem Lord left the crew, THP would be stronger than TSA just due to Lord Knight, teh_spamerer, and myself. >_>;

If Emblem Lord stays in TSA, TSA gets to still call themselves the strongest crew in NJ. :p

I agree.

...eww.

Now for crew news:

I know the crew has been demanding an in-crew tournament. I say we have one this Sunday at our next meeting. All out, double elimination, with Smashtality's ruleset.

So I expect every member to show up.

Charles is formerly known as Copycat.

Speaking of which, Charles has decided to use the tag "Arcadin," as it is the tag he is mostly known by in other communities, and he wishes to be called that here from now on.

I'll make sure to come just because of this.

Edit: Emblem Lord stfu and get back to playing smash. If you leave then I have to leave because you've done waaaaaaaaaay more for the crew than I have.

For the record: There are two Charles' in TSA. Copycat (arcadin) and Cactuar.

Will the in-crew tournament be the same as that round robin we did before or will it be a real tourney? I would prefer round robin because it's a far more accurate way to see how each member of TSA stakes up to the others.

Hmmm, I really didn't think I would be met with this much resistence when I said I might leave the crew. Well it's true that I would be hard pressed to find better training partners in the state of NJ. The only good players outside of TSA are M2K, Inui and LK. And none of them can drive >_> lol! ok , then I'll stay.

Don't forget Ryoko, Comp, Dave, and Reik.

But yah, that's it for good training in NJ outside of TSA.

Emblem Lord, I want to play you more. Your wavedash f-smash amazes me too much. And I'm serious. Most people spam it like a nub, but you use that basic tactic so well. :o
