i learned through play through, strategies will take you at least 3-4 games imo.

trying to read a rule set, especially without pictures, is unnecessarily difficult to understand

really, you'll be able to pick up most of the relevant stuff a few turns into your first playthrough; the only things you really might need time to get a feel for are how to actually win the game, and how to realize when someone else is about to win (which are really the same concept anyway)

I tried play WC3 again awhile ago, but it was too slow and hold position didn't do what I wanted it to do, so I had to stop . SC is just a lot more fun to me now.

his place, his rules, and if people keep ratcheting up "can so and so come?", it might get blown out of proportion

and is anyone going to be bringing TVs? I do want to do a fair amount of smashing too
