Ok so I searched up to see if there was a thread of this already but I didn't find anything. But if this has been talked about then this will jut be closed and thats that but anyway...

This is something very rare that can occur (at least to me). This can only happen to Marth as far as I know right now (I'm still trying this with others). And so far it only works if the platform, area, stage part is moving.

This is what happend to me, this scenario I'm about to describe.

I was 1 vs 1 a cpu Snake cause no one was on wi fi and I was bored. I chose pokemon stadium 2 to play on. Everything was all good and the stage went to the electric part. Since it has towo conveyour belts on the ends I was staying in the middle area. The cpu snake was running towards me on the left conveyour belt. I walked over to him and started to do dancing blade. As I was doing this I moved to the edge and as I finished both the cpu Snake and I were flung off stage and both of us died in the left lower corner of the stage.

As of now I'm not sure if this works with any other move or with any other character or any other stage. Which is why I said it was rare to occur.

I belive this happens because Marth steps as he does the final hit of dancing blade and that combined with near edge movement on a already moving conveyour belt slingshots Marth.


This so far does not have any advantage to Marth only to your opponent, unless it kills you both. So it might if you have two stocks and they have one it could be sort of a kamikazi (or however you spell it) move.

This has been known to happen on pictochat when the platform you're standing on disappears. Basically, the simple explanation is you're moving forward while doing dancing blades, you're "moving forward" at a particular speed with each step. When the platform disappears, that "movement speed" suddenly becomes your speed in the air because suddenly you're not on the ground. It's a glitch basically. It's a complete fluke so it's not dependable for an actual strategy. Like, not in the least. There was another topic on this but seeing as the term for this event is really ambiguous and you wouldn't know what to call it, I can't blame you for not finding it. Anyways, one other important thing:

haha, oh wow. good luck putting that into effective use. seems like it was just glitched or you were standing right where the bridge thing was erasing and you could see the slant and that somehow triggered it.
