So anyway, I just thought up a long time ago about using only 1 pokemon and sending it through a hoarde of Elite Masters lol

And I accomplished this two times once in Red and another in Emerald
I used Level 87 Moltres all the way through back when I was small
and I had another achievment of doing it again recently with just a lvl91 Pichu lol haha :chuckle:
It had a bit of trouble with rock pkmn so Neutral and Paralysis Moves worked well and PWNed all the way (although this was the second run, it fainted on my first try with Pichu lol)

Anyway, how bout you guys? I wanna hear sumthin like this too =P

In Saphire I'd often run through the opposing team with Kyogre. It really isn't hard to do this: just something with good STAB and decent coverage can do this after a particular level.

Are you just talking about the Elite Four, the entire game, or something entirely different?

I've run through my entire Pearl version once with Shaymin -- started at level 30 with Magical Leaf, Synthesis, Psychic, and Energy Ball. I EV trained it first, too, although I can't recall exactly what its spread was. I don't recall what level it started the E4 at but I know it finished at 88.

I also started a Jigglypuff run of the same nature on the same game. I believe it started at level 20, and its moveset is Water Pulse, Flamethrower, Shock Wave, and Psychic, although I am altering it for the E4. At the moment, it's at level 85, and I'm at Victory Road (I got through to the Pokemon League, but I'm going to need to do some training, because my Jiggs isn't fast enough to outspeed a fair amount of Pokemon and it's going to need to oustpeed the majority of the E4's Pokemon, if not all of them). And when it comes to "ZOMG END OF THE GAME TRAINING FOR THE E4" I sorta become really demotivated. I'm at the same exact place on my Sapphire run.

no, I'm saying all last bosses in general, its just for my situation back there.
I was also talking about fighting from the last few battles beforefinishing the game, but you're free to talk about start-to-end gameplay here, as my Aussie friend did finish it too with Sableye along with 2 HM slaves :chuckle:

I might try doing a run althrough the game next time

One of my friends has a "hard mode" that he started a while back with original Red, where he catches one of every wild pokemon he sees, and constantly rotates out his team so that every pokemon he has all are the same level, with no general farming grass for exp.

I started that in Ruby a while back, only I have specifications, like 10 levels over every trainer, 20 levels over wild Pokemon...etc. I'm making the rules as I go, but it's pretty hard. I'm trying to get all 25 or so of my Pokemon up to level 30 right now, and I'm at Dewford.

Eh, but I remember beating the E4 in Ruby or I think maybe Emerald with just Rayquaza. Not much of an achievement, I know...but still.

Wow O_O

I remember in my first diamond (I found another one at a park) I tried catching all my favourite pokemon with good natures (don't really care much about IV's...) and switched them around for each gym. It was a pain trying to raise so many pokemon to high levels but now my box is filled with lvl 50+ pokemon. I never tried it with very are pokemon like gible or legendaries because that would have been terrible :psycho:

Multiple times with my level 80(now 100s) Lucario/garchomp(individually). Both of them have nice type coverage, so... all set!

Have any of you guys seen the Pidgey vid on youtube in which this dude takes on Red in the Gold/Silver days? I think it was called the Pidgey challenge. Back in silver I would own the Elite Four with Typhlosion. Lance was a pain in the rear end though.

In FireRed I beat the entire game with just a Charizard (also, the rule of fighting every trainer/never running from a wild pokemon was in play) . I didn't train/catch any other pokemon, except for HM slaves.

In Sapphire, I did the same thing except with a Sceptile. Honestly, never try to beat the Hoen E4 with one of those, it took me ages before I finally beat them.

Another challenge I took was in my ruby.

It was the "beat the game with the lowest lvl pokemon challenge"

I ended with a lvl 34 grovyle and a whole bunch of other low 30's. It was a pain to do (and I never got through the E4 with that team) but It was a fun challenge.

Eventually, I just caught rayquaza and used him to beat the E4 while using the other pokes as item healers.

I have a friend who's run through the entirety of Ruby (I think; either that, Sapphire, or Emerald) with an EV bred Smeargle.

Stamping your library books.
Years ago I decided I was going to beat my Blue version with an unevolved Charmander.

I got bored after losing to Brock and just played the normal way after.
