Well most people here in the South love Sports, going from Soccer,Football,Basketball, etc. I thought this would be a nice place to start to talk about all these sports. Ranging from favorite clubs from all sports. We can talk about College or Professional Teams. We can debate who will win championships best players etc.


I guess Ill start with favorite clubs.

Basketball- Houston Rockets,Charlotte Bobcats,Phoenix Suns. IMO West>East.
Football-Minnesota Vikings.
Soccer- I dont like much soccer unless its international soccer. I always Root for El Salvador.
Baseball- Dont really like it but I would most likely like the Dodgers.

Of course you can talk about any sports. Boxing,Swimming,track,UFC, etc.


So lets talk about certain things in the world of sports.

World Cup any Predictions?



Basketball season just started any favorite teams?

Ah, yes. That's why I wanna bring this up to my friends for a while. The whole season it was me, the Yankees fan, against all my buddies, the Red Sox fans.

I admit, it was fun goin' back and forth with the **** talkin', but I did wish I had some back-up. It's cool, I think winning the World Series is enough back-up for them to not talk for a while.


It's awesome, though. Since my father never supported a college basketball team, I decided to choose UNC, mostly to even the waters among my friends. And it just so happens they won too. I'm doubtful the Jets could win the Superbowl, let alone get there, but it's fine. Two teams winning in one year is enough.

Soccer

America obviously (clint dempsey is beaaaast), but we're the underdog on the world level so after we get out i just respect good soccer. I ****ing hate players that fake injuries and therefore have a problem with a lot of players/clubs/ and national teams. I think its a disgrace that the biggest sport on the planet is one that can be decided by a single faked fall near the penalty zone. Anyone want to argue that? I love soccer, but i dont think it deserves to be the world's number one. I dont know what does. Maybe rugby. maybe soccer just needs some rule changes, possibly instant replays. But time and time i again i see these pretty boy ******s falling over because their foot slightly touched someone elses, and then they hold their ribs and their heads like rocky just took them to the ring, 3 mins later though, after they get their shot at the potentially game winning goal, they seem to run around just find. Now you're telling me that some of the most highly tuned and balanced athletes in the world dont know how to have their foot touched by another player without rolling on the ground for 10 feet and pretending their ribs are broken when they caught their own fall with their hands? Fakes and fake teams can suck my nutsack.

I really like they way the dutch national team plays, they really blew my mind in the eurocup 2 years ago, they ALWAYS have insane goalkeepers. I like french national football for the most part, one of the best teams that doesnt fake **** THAT often, they generally have a good attitude to them.

As far as predictions, i have no idea, i dont see any teams out there that are just proving pure **** at the minute. Even brazil, france, italy, and england to a degree are looking weak compared to the last world cup.



And thats my thoughts on soccer.

I casually keep up with the Hawks but maily just because they're decent and my home team, i'm a pretty fairweather fan for basketball and an even more fairweather fan for NHL.


International Rugby is beast and i usually just cheer for the underdog (anyone thats not new zealand) and just hope to see a good game thats full of tries.

I'm not a big fan of the pro sports, but there are a few teams that I like to see winning:

NHL: Carolina Hurricanes
NBA: Detroit Pistons
NFL: Denver Broncos

I'm definitely more of a college sports guy. In pretty much anything I will root for my Carolina Tar Heels, but in Football, the Nebraska Cornhuskers take priority.

Race? False. There are americans...canadians...frenchies...I believe there's even a mexican on one other team.

But Hockey is just so much fun to watch. It has the most fatalities out of any non-combat based sport, as far as I know.
